Recap: Voltes V: Legacy, Episode 67 – Steve vs Zardoz

Now that Steve is here, the team can Volt In. Draco is worried about what might have happened to Zardoz and Zandra if Steve is able to arrive. Oslak wants to keep fighting, but Draco orders their retreat for now.
Back in their castillo, Zandra asks Zardoz how his cut is doing. He says he’s fine and flashes back to the last episode, blaming Zandra for ruining his plans. She says she just wanted to repay him for all he’s done. But Zardoz says he doesn’t need to be saved by her and instead, his battle with Steve Armstrong was an embarrassment to Boazan because of her.
Zardoz vows to kill Steve the next time they meet.
Meanwhile, Commander General Robinson makes steak for Big Bert in order to get some Marites about Jamie. Big Bert can’t help but spill the beans since the steak looks so delicious. General Commander Robinson immediately calls Mark and Steve to the house.

Mark and Steve can’t believe Big Bert would Marites what has been going on. Papa Robinson demands they explain their feelings for her. Both Steve and Mark paligoy-ligoy until Papa Robinson gets the confirmation he needs and orders them to do 100 push-ups.
Papa Robinson can’t believe they have time to think about girls when the world is in danger. And not just any girl, but his only daughter too. Papa Robinson orders they do 500 push-ups, calling them duwag and saying they have no balls.
Papa Robinson comes back when they’re in the 300s and asks if they can still handle it. They say yes, but he sees they are struggling and tells them to stop. He thought they were brave and strong, but they can’t even admit they like Jamie.

Papa Robinson says being a real, strong man means being brave enough to be honest to the father of the girl they like. The toughest battles are fought within their own hearts. And that will in turn translate to their bravery and integrity out on the battlefield.
However, while they are still in the middle of war, they must set aside their personal feelings. Only until the Boazans are defeated and Commander General Robinson is out of the EDF will they be able to pursue Jamie. Steve asks what he means by that, but Papa Robinson tells them to shut up and grow some balls.
Down in the castillo, Oslak tricks Zandra into wearing a mind control ring.
Episode Thoughts
Why the long recap of last night? Lol Actually, it appears this is the first part of the next long episode. So a recap makes sense for that edit, but not for the teleserye edit lol
Anyway, a nice lesson from Papa Commander General Robinson for Steve and Mark. He has an excellent point about having some balls and admitting their feelings for Jamie. If they can’t even do that, then how are you going to fight off the aliens?
So I actually enjoyed those scenes. Nothing much else from this episode since it was filled with recaps and previews. (I think half of the episode was the official recap, Zardoz’s recap and then the preview for tomorrow lol)
Also, wrong episode title again. Should’ve been yesterday’s episode title, yeah?

But they usually post it as late as possible in order to drive more people to watch live and juice the ratings so they can post more ratings art cards on social media. =)
I’ve seen people talk about how people worldwide should subscribe to GMA Pinoy TV in order to watch the series. I’d recommend that if you are interested in watching lots of Filipino programming. But if you only want to watch Voltes V: Legacy, I don’t think it’d be a good investment. Especially since you can’t watch the series on demand anyway. GMA Pinoy TV is a linear, premium TV channel on most cable and satellite systems.
