The Goldtsuikers are out and about when they run into Noon World. Zox henshins to take him on, but Noon World summons some Kudakks. When the Zenkaigers arrive, Zox leaves the Kudakks to them while he chases after Noon World.
Noon World targets a dating couple. The girlfriend runs off when Noon World grabs the boyfriend. Zox fires at them with no regard for the safety of the boyfriend. Kaito and Zyuran arrive and Secchan suggests they use a Megaranger power-up. That allows Kaito to save the boyfriend and drive Noon World away, much to Zox’s annoyance.
Kaito scolds Zox for his recklessness. But Zox says he’s not here to help people. Simple as that. Kaito has Zyuran launch him up to grab onto Zox’s feet as he reels himself onto the ship.
Kaito continues scolding Zox and asks what they’re doing on Earth if they aren’t going to care what happens to people. An annoyed Flint steps forward to say that they are trying to return their little brothers to normal. She shows Kaito a photo of the twins in their normal forms.
Kaito is surprised that the twins actually look like humans since he just assumed other worlds featured such different family forms. Flint goes on to explain that she was able to use pirated Tojitendo tech to create gates to parallel worlds. When they came across the world SDtopia, the twins had messed around and ended up getting cursed.
That’s why the Goldtsuikers hope to get back to SDtopia to find a way to reverse it. But SDtopia has been locked in a Gear by the Tojitendo. Despite trying to use the gates, Flint says Tojitendo’s security must be blocking them
Zox says now that Kaito knows their story, he should understand why the Goldtsuikers can’t really worry about other people. Kaito says he does understand because he is also hoping to save his parents from the Tojitendo.
Over at the palace, Bokkowaus is a little worried about the Zenkaigers and Twokaizer joining forces. But Gege assures him Ijirude is working on something to catch the pirate while Barashitara is confident in Noon World’s abilities.
Back at the shop, Kaito tells the others about the Goldtsuikers’ dilemma. Gaon fully empathizes with them since they are human-looking people. Kaito says he can understand too since he was turned into sushi when he was engrossed in searching for his parents that one time. Secchan points out that Kaito does not ignore what happens to other people though.
Magine speaks honestly and says she doesn’t think they should worry about the Goldtsuikers since they brought their situation upon themselves with their troublemaking. Zyuran agrees.
Secchan reminds Kaito that you meet all sorts of people when you expand your world.
Just then, Gaon notices how the shop is so empty since by this time, it should be full of schoolchildren stopping by after school. They look at the clock and it still says noon. Kaito doesn’t understand since he distinctly remembers eating lunch at noon earlier.
Turns out Noon World has made it noon all over Earth using multiple suns and it is causing people to grow exhausted without night sleep. That in turn is causing dangerous situations everywhere.
They realize the strange phenomena when Secchan runs out of charge even though Kaito plugs him in every night. They see a news report showing it is daylight in both Japan and Brazil.
Up on the ship, Zox notices the four suns surrounding Earth. He heads down and finds Noon World who is hiding in a tunnel. Zox henshins and takes Noon World on. But their battle is putting innocent bystanders in danger.
The Zenkaigers arrive just as Zox slams Noon World into a building. That causes the building’s wall to break off and threaten to fall onto a group of people and Kikainoids.
But the Zenkaigers act fast and are able to catch the huge concrete slab, protecting the people from getting crushed and killed.
The Zenkaigers toss the slab aside and the people thank the Zenkaigers for keeping them safe.
Zox says that was a pretty silly thing to do because if they had died, Kaito would never be able to find his parents. Kaito says he acknowledges that Zox may be able to focus fully on just taking down the Tojitendo. But they as Zenkaigers will protect everyone as well as Zox could if he wanted to.
Zox shoots Noon World down from the wall and uphenshins to Shinken Form.
The Zenkaigers also henshin and take on Kudakks. Zox uphenshins to Ohren Form and finishes off Noon World’s first life.
The sky turns dark as time around the world has returned to normal. The Zenkaigers feel very sleepy. But Noon World embiggens into Great Noon World and sends multiple suns up into the sky once more.
Magine is absolutely enraged and annoyed. She wakes Kaito up and together with Vroom form Zenkai-Oh VrooMagine. With the help of sunglasses to block out the suns, they finish off Great Noon World for good.
Japan returns to nighttime and the Zenkaigers can finally sleep.
Flint suggests they kill the Zenkaigers for good now that they are fast asleep. But Zox says to leave them be since they’re fun as long as they don’t get in their way.
Barashitara watches them and believes the Zenkaigers and Twokaizer not teaming up will be their demise.
I liked this episode better than last week’s. It was definitely great to learn more about the Goldtsuikers rather than unnecessarily drag that mystery out longer than it had to be. The MOTW Noon World was also a great concept.
First off, I thought it was great to learn that the younger Goldtsuiker twins are actually “human” as well. Though it would’ve been okay for the Goldtsuikers, both the “human” two and the little robot two, be “blood” related just as they are, them being “human” is a good thing for their story. It gives the Goldtsuikers a clear endgame type of deal and also reasonably explain their apathy to the safety of others. They may be pirates, but they are also 100% focused on saving the twins from their curse.
I can only hope that their character growth involves them learning or being moved to care about others. But we’ll see.
Giving them an actual reason for their grudge against the Tojitendo is also a good detail to have clear. But I also loved Magine pointing out that they brought their situation upon themselves. It was definitely a great point. And if the Goldtsuikers can’t be bothered to do even the bare minimum in keeping innocent bystanders safe, what reason do they as Zenkaigers have to care about them either?
Obviously, the Zenkaigers are much nicer and more caring people than the pirates. So they’ll still worry about the Goldtsuikers, especially Kaito.
One of the reasons I’m not really a fan of LuPat is how they made the Lups too cocky and indifferent to anything not involving their own endgame. Like, they can be overly desperate about saving their loved ones from the ice block. But at least make them learn how to be a little less self-centered. You can do that while still maintaining that Arsene Lupin mystique.
That’s the kind of vibe I’m getting from Zox a little. And I just hope that the show leans more toward the Gokaigers as character influence over the possible similarities to the Lups. The Gokaigers were swashbuckling pirates, but they obviously got the whole season to show just how tsundere they really were. (Except Ahim and the good doc of course as they were soft cuties all season. lol)
Anyway, I liked Noon World’s motif and MO this week. Of course there are definitely places around the world that do have daylight all day long at times during the year. But what an interesting idea for the whole world to remain at noon. Seeing the consequences of such a thing was great as a story concept for this episode.
Overall, a good episode. I enjoyed it. It was fun and definitely featured some good plot development.
