Episode Thoughts

What in the world is going on?!?!?! Lololol

This was definitely a crazy episode. I enjoyed it of course. But boy, so much happened and I had no idea what was going on most of the time.

Again, I’m not sure what the plan is for Legend in-series. Is this just a quick miniseries or will he play into Gotchard‘s actual story. Either way, I’m happy to see Kaguya again. He’s definitely a great character. And wow that final scene was just fanservice extravaganza all the way. Lol

Definitely looking forward to seeing what Kaguya’s role will be in the grander scheme of things. Or to simply just enjoy his gorgeous presence and him meeting Houtarou’s friends.

Meanwhile, the Hundred3 definitely didn’t last long. Lol. They seemed like they could be a cool trio. But they were easily taken care of here. Almost like they were introduced to merely be fodder for some fancy power-ups and special visitors. Lol

Now about Zein. I had to look him up and it made me realize I actually have not watched Kamen Rider Outsiders except for Episode 0 back in 2022. So I have no idea who he is or what his deal may be lol

The episode also seemed to touch on the Gotchard-Geats movie? Another thing that I haven’t watched yet, though it was made available this past week. I definitely get to it in the next few days though.

So this unfamiliarity I had with a lot of these characters and/or stories added to my sight confusion during this episode. But again, it was still very exciting and lots of explosive fun.

I did love the moment the peoples cheered Houtarou on. It was almost a MaGMCM. Lol

And what about Supana and Lachesis? They are now officially destined for each other as Ex-MadWheel and NuMadWheel. I have decided. Lolol Seriously though, I loved seeing them battle alongside each other. And then that moment with Clotho and Lachesis! Very nice.

So much went on this week, Meikoku Oh himself was the least exciting and interesting part! Lol. He’ll take a backseat for now I guess because no one can take the spotlight away from the shining, shimmering gorgeousness of Legend Kaguya. Lol

Overall, a crazy full, but fun episode.

  1. Yep, Gotchard is making you watch all the specials, because apparently they are canon to it. Except Class 3G, which is definitely an alternate universe, and maybe Unfinished Plan. And its making it work

Also now that he has actually showed up, Kaguya was in the second DVD splash.

    1. Also thinking on it, this is probably going to turn out very similar to Revice’s Second Evil Daiji arc. An essential delay of the big bad doing big bad things, but this time it won’t involve people making extraordinarily questionable decisions.

  2. The show developers definitely knew what they were doing with Lachesis’s… unique Henshin sequence. They’ve obviously done their homework and are well-aware that she has many smitten fanboys (I may or may not be one of them. Heh heh). I mean, just look at the nickname the fans have given her, and you’ll see exactly what I’m talking about.

I’m guessing that this is gonna be a two-parter a la the KingOhger-Kyoryuger special. I don’t really see Kaguya sticking around for long since his motif doesn’t really mesh with Gotchard’s, plus there’s an obvious risk of him overshadowing the rest of the characters if he joins the main cast. But it’s definitely nice to see him again, and I’m looking forward to his interactions with the rest of the characters, however brief they may be.

After this little mini arc is done, I’m guessing that the season’s gonna go full speed ahead with answering the ongoing mysteries surrounding Houtarou’s father, Fuga, the Abysallis King (who I’m 90% sure has a human form he’s keeping hidden at the moment. I wouldn’t be surprised if the actor voicing him currently is more of a Cast as a Mask sort of situation.), and whatever happened 120 years ago that led to the King being imprisoned in the first place.

And speaking of Kamen Rider Outsiders, it’s a very unique sort of series. It definitely allows itself to be darker and more serious. And its premise is neat, too. Basically, a bunch of returning villains from past seasons are forced to be the good guys in the fight against Zein, who himself is a very unique sort of villain with an interesting motive. I highly recommend it.
