Recap: Voltes V: Legacy, Episode 74 – Locked Up

Dr. Hook sends Eva to join Steve, Mark and Big Bert in place of Jamie for special tactical training at EDF. Steve places her in the overwatch position and Eva says she will prove she is the best sniper at CBF. Their mission for this training is to save a hostage and they have no problem completing it.

Meanwhile at the International Science Summit, Arisa and Takeo attack and kill Little Jon’s entourage just as they are about to return to the CBF. Little Jon’s invisibility cloak doesn’t work against them and they are able to grab him.

Dr. Hook quickly tells Steve and the Gang about what’s happened, but they have no idea who is responsible. He is able to pick up Little Jon’s signal and sends the four of them to look for him. Steve disagrees with having Eva join, but she says this is an opportunity to prove she is worthy of the team, maybe even a replacement.

Jamie comes strutting in saying no one can ever replace her. Mark, Steve and Eva protest, but she officially reports for duty to Dr. Hook and he tells them to Move It.

While walking through the forest, Mark asks Jamie if she’s sure she’s okay. She takes this to mean he is not mad at her anymore. But he does not reply.

“Mr. Sungit. Buti na lang cute ka.”
“I heard that.”

Steve interrupts their cute moment when he says this is the location of Little Jon’s signal. He starts yelling and Mark tells him to pipe down, lest the kidnappers hear them.

They find Little Jon’s communicator on the ground and hear his voice, but it’s a trap as they get sucked into a portalis and find themselves in a strange place. Jamie wonders if they’re even still on Earth and Mark says yes based on the stars in the sky.

Mark sneers at the Armstrong Bros always causing trouble for the team and Steve says it is worse having someone like Mark on the team.

Episode Thoughts

Lol! Mark has been more right about threats and traps and being careful than the Armstrong Bros AND Jamie combined! So I don’t know who’s more valuable or more of a jinx to the team. Lol Maybe Eva is right. Maybe she does deserve to be a replacement lololol

Tama naman si Mark. They’re trying to look for a hostaged Little Jon and they are running around screaming. Has Steve ever actually had the correct intuition about anything? My goodness. What a leader! Lol

I hate Voltes V: Legacy for making me kilig just a tiny bit with Jamie and Mark. Like, what was the purpose of that cute moment! Not Jamie being a paasa toward Mark again even though we all know she wants Steve only! lol

Lots of lolol today with the show not-stealthily reminding us several times that Eva is the best sniper at CBF. Yes, we know she can easily have murdered Apable. Lol

Anyway, nice to see the Voltes team backed into a corner. Or trapped in a circle, at least. But based on the preview, it seems like Zardoz and his two alalays are going to sabotage all of Zaki’s efforts lol Another smart leader that Zardoz. Maybe Zambojil is right about him too! Actually, he’s an Armstrong, so it makes sense lololol

But they want you to watch live so they can boost the ratings and post on social media how much they’ve beaten Batang Quiapo in the ratings!

I’ve seen people talk about how people worldwide should subscribe to GMA Pinoy TV in order to watch the series. I’d recommend that if you are interested in watching lots of Filipino programming. But if you only want to watch Voltes V: Legacy, I don’t think it’d be a good investment. Especially since you can’t watch the series on demand anyway. GMA Pinoy TV is a linear, premium TV channel on most cable and satellite systems.
