Episode Thoughts

A cute episode! I think this is probably the most “filler” of the episodes so far. But when the show is such a joy to watch, even the typical “filler” episode is a lot of fun and very enjoyable.

I’ll say it again, after 2-3 years, it is quite welcome and refreshing to see an actual team of heroes. That is, at Episode 13, they’re already working together as team and one unit.

That’s not to discount stories where the Sentai team has lots of conflict and the like. But it’s just nice to have this kind of dynamic with the Boonbooms as it is different from what the show has been trying to do the last few years.

This episode was partly a Genba-focus, but still focusing on the team and them being able to not merely acknowledge each other. But actually work together and trust each other. We saw that trust many times in this episode. And it worked very well to help further the team’s dynamic and connection.

Meanwhile, this bromance love triangle is fun to watch. I know it’s probably not that. But just that whole scene of Shashiro seemingly jealous of Taiya just merely talking to Genba (though Genba certainly can be a bit flirty to Mr. Hando himself lol); it’s just funny. I watch too much BL I think lolol

Anyway, also good to see the General3 in action a bit. The episode just reinforces who they are, especially when compared to other Hashiryans. So t was a good episode for them as well.

Overall, a fun and cute episode for the Boonbooms!
