Recap: Voltes V: Legacy, Episode 85 – Solar Falcon
Solar Bird grabs the bomb and tosses it into space to safely explode away from Erthu. The Voltesers quickly return to CBF where Dr. Hook and his peoples find it is not of this planet. When Solar Falcon comes to hover above CBF, it plays a message from Papa saying he has prepared everything they need to fight off the Boazanians.
CBF and Solar Bird combine into Solar Falcon and they fly into space to chase after Papa.
As soon as they reach orbit, rebel commander Garth introduces himself to Dr. Hook. Garth tells them HrothNed has been taken back to Zambojil in Boazan by Oslak and Zander.
In Boazan, with them all thinking Erthu has blown up, Hrothgar says Zambojil will regret having him brought back here alive.
Little Jon has some flashbacks as he thinks about his father and mother and traveling to Boazan. Meanwhile Judyalah asks Garth not to tell anyone that she’s here. She hides from Big Bert when he walks by. Later, she has a joyous reunion with her little sister after also having some flashbacks.
Later, Solar Falcon prepares for warp speed travel to Boazan.
Episode Thoughts
You know, thinking about the horrible pacing of the series, I flashback (the show seems to like to do that too a lot lol) to before the premiere when they had a movie version in theaters. I was confused when they said it would include three weeks of TV episodes in the film version. Like, how is that possible?
Yet, now after 85 episodes, I can see that was very possible. So many throwaway scenes that have no relevance or impact to the overall story. I think they could easily cut all that fat out and have a normal-sized movie based on 15 TV episodes lol
Anyway, Just one more week! Just five episodes left y’all! And it’ll all be over. Lol
Voltes V: Legacy Episode 85 is supposed to be available on GMA Network’s official YouTube channel:
And it probably is by the time this posts, but I’m scheduling this to be posted in advance after already watching the episode. So good luck trying to find it somewhere. lol
I’ve seen people talk about how people worldwide should subscribe to GMA Pinoy TV in order to watch the series. I’d recommend that if you are interested in watching lots of Filipino programming. But if you only want to watch Voltes V: Legacy, I don’t think it’d be a good investment. Especially since you can’t watch the series on demand anyway. GMA Pinoy TV is a linear, premium TV channel on most cable and satellite systems.
