Recap: Voltes V: Legacy, Episode 77 – Conquer
Back at CBF, the Voltesers says they were released by their kalabans and they’ve realized not all of them are bad. The others also point out Mark is deserving of puri because he set aside his anger of Jamie and Steve to help save them. Mark says he doesn’t need puri, but Little Jon says he very much deserves it and that their friendship and teamwork won out in the end.
Jamie hopes Mark really isn’t mad at them anymore so she and Steve can live happily ever after. Steve says they shook hands, so it should be okay.
Meanwhile, Takeo and Arisa finally reveal their true feelings about Zardoz being a horrible leader. Zardoz reminds them that they are traitorous alipins who deserve to be treated like shit. Takeo and Arisa defiantly stand with their fellow oppressed alipins of Boazan as they are shot to death by firing squad.
Zardoz orders Zaki to fly back to Boazan. Later, Zaki pays tribute to Takeo and Arisa who believes they are more honorable than Zardoz ever will be. Zandra comes in to confront Zaki who stands defiant, saying she will not return to Boazan and will just stay here. Zandra doesn’t think so and shoots her dead.
Later, Oslak mocks Zandra and Draco’s new Beastfighter design. But they snap back at him and he leaves.
Dr. Hook has been working on finding the Boazan rebel camp where HrothNed has continued to make plans. Dr. Hook tells Little Jon that he hopes this is the correct location.
In his room, Big Bert flash back to his happy times with Judyalah and throws a photobooth strip of them together away. At the alipin rebel base, Judyalah introduces herself to HrothNed.
Back in the command center, Dr. Hook orders Big Bert to accompany Steve and Jamie to the location. Mark refuses to go.
Zardoz and Co., meanwhile, also find the alipin rebel camp and Zardoz orders his generals to wipe them out.
Episode Thoughts
This episode just reminded me that we’re not over the love quadrangle stuff yet. This episode just had 3 out of the 4. But Eva is still out and about and it will be hilarious to have the show save her downfall for finale week. As if it’s as important as the war between the Armstrong Bros and Zardoz lol
Anyway, with Takeo, Arisa and Zaki quickly killed off, the whole sidetrip really just felt like an inserted plot. Take that sidetrip away and it wouldn’t make a difference to the show, whether it is the overall plot or the character’s development.
Oh well. Let’s all get ready for another Zardoz defeat coming up! Lol
Voltes V: Legacy Episode 77 is supposed to be available on GMA Network’s official YouTube channel:
But they want you to watch live so they can boost the ratings and post on social media how much they’ve beaten Batang Quiapo in the ratings!
I’ve seen people talk about how people worldwide should subscribe to GMA Pinoy TV in order to watch the series. I’d recommend that if you are interested in watching lots of Filipino programming. But if you only want to watch Voltes V: Legacy, I don’t think it’d be a good investment. Especially since you can’t watch the series on demand anyway. GMA Pinoy TV is a linear, premium TV channel on most cable and satellite systems.
