Gira says he is an immortal evil king. Racules calls him a monster instead as both henshin. Racules orders Daigorg to stand down, but the old general refuses and swings at him.
To Gira’s surprise, Racules whips out a crown and uses it to uphenshin. Gira remembers a moment from the past where his Racules-niichan had showed him a crown when they were kids.
Racules puts the crown on his spear as Daigorg finally does stand back and tells the king to show him what he’s capable of.
The Husty brothers battle, but Racules’ new powers are too much for Gira. Gira is forced to dehenshin, but is whisked away by Jeramie. Jeramie is able to bring an unconscious Gira to where Hymeno is overseeing the last evacuees.
Meanwhile, Rita and Morfonia head to the place in Shugoddam to arrest Racules for conspiracy to assassinate Yanma. Douga maintains that Racules acted in self-defense. He has Shugoddamian guards physically block Rita from entering the palace. She tells them that they can wield their power all they want, but Gokkan’s judgment will not waver.
Inside, Kaguragi is congratulating Racules on the new power. He asks about the crown and Racules says it has been passed down through the royal family since ancient times. When one of royal blood wears it, they are recognized as the true king. There are also legends that it can wield the power of the universe or that it can command all the ShuGods, among others.
When Racules asks if he wants it, Kaguragi says he would never even dream of that and says it suits Racules much better. Kaguragi turns to leave with Racules not knowing the hay he has left as a present actually hides Kuroda and another kuroko as spies.
After Kaguragi leaves, Boshimar says Racules seemed to have told Kaguragi too much. But Racules says he finds himself much more talkative around Kaguragi. Even though, without the lance, the crown is worthless.
Douga reports on the other kings gathering in Ishabana. Racules says he must inform the Bugnarak then.
Over in Ishabana, Rita authorizes Gira to apprehend Racules. With the king controlling the black King-Ohger, they will need extrajudicial measures using Gira’s talent. Rita says he must try to bring him in unharmed, but Hymeno says Gira will end up being the one that falls if he tries that. She admits that Racules is much stronger now.
Hymeno asks what the crown was. Gira thinks it is the Founder’s Crown that Racules told him about when they were younger. Yanma says Gira’s been keeping secrets from them. But Gira says he really does not remember much from his childhood. He only remembered the crown after seeing it earlier.
Gira thinks about Racules having shown him a crown and telling him about the legend of the Founder’s Crown that you inherit when you become a true king. Racules said he had a dream that he would become king one day.
Anyway, without Kaguragi, they cannot use Legend King-Ohger’s true power. Yanma says they might as well consider Kaguragi as their enemy and Rita says he will end up being charged as an accomplice if he continues working with Racules.
That makes Gira think of something and he sneaks away.
The others turn their attention to Jeramie who is feeling down over his early failures to become the king of everything.
Away from them, Gira calls Kaguragi to tell him a secret he hasn’t even mentioned to anyone else. When Gira had tried to help Suzume escape, he backed down from doing so after he saw her sobbing in her room. He thought that there must be a reason for her to stay locked up in the palace, so he shouldn’t take her away.
Kaguragi thinks Gira is telling him this to get something in return. But Gira says no. They are just preparing to fight Racules soon, so now is the only good time to speak with Kaguragi one last time.
Later, turns out Kaguragi has been lurking about the Shugoddam palace. Douga orders him arrested. But Suzume suddenly walks in and takes a seat on the throne saying that she needs to see her brother’s spirit broken for his attempts to break her out of here. Boshimar tries to get her off the throne, but she says as a prospective bride of Racules, she has a right to act in his place. Suzume orders Kaguragi to kneel and then to act like a kabuto in order to prove his loyalty to Racules. Only then will she forgive him.
To everyone’s surprise, Kaguragi does exactly that. He crawls toward the throne and spots something at its bottom corner.
Meanwhile, Hymeno and Rita fight off Bugnarak that have begun rampaging in town. Gira is in King-Ohger until Racules arrives in King-Ohger Zero. But to the king’s surprise, Kaguragi has managed to hop aboard as well.
Even more surprising is the fact that Kaguragi has gained possession of the spear. He explains that he tried hijacking King-Ohger Zero before, but he realized he needed some kind of key.
Racules realizes this has all been a set-up by Kaguragi. Kaguragi remembers having slipped a note to his sister to help him find the key so that they could be reunited as soon as possible. This is when Gira had seen Suzume crying.
Suzume making Kaguragi kneel and crawl was just a ploy to point him to the key that was hidden at the foot of the throne all along. That was when Kaguragi is able to gain possession of the spear. Racules says Kaguragi has been planning for this all along.
Kaguragi uses the spear to disconnect the crown from Racules’ robo. Racules says that crown can only be used by the king of Shugoddam. But Kaguragi says he knows someone more deserving of it.
Kaguragi hurries out and hands Gira the crown and spear. Gira uses them to uphenshin to King Kuwagata Ohger. He then summons the robos to form Extreme KingOhger. Kaguragi joins him in the cockpit.
Racules refuses to accept sure defeat since he is king. Gira speaks directly to Racules, asking him if he remembers the moment from when they were kids.
When Racules had shown Gira the crown, he talked about believing the king is supposed to protect all peoples while the people protect anyone they can reach and care about.
This was the country Racules had a dream of when he was a kid. He wanted him and his people to all live as the kings of their own small kingdoms. And he hoped to transform Shugoddam into a place where everyone can be their own king.
Gira yells at his brother to ask what’s happened to that dream of his. But Racules says it was just a childhood fantasy.
Gira and Racules battle using their mechas. Gira laughs at Racules’ inability to turn fantasy into reality. How can he claim to be a king like that? Gira says he will defy natural law to become king.
Gira is able to deliver a finisher at Racules, causing him to get ejected.
Afterwards, Gira declares he will one day become king.
Racules stumbles back into the palace. But it has now been seized by the Bugnarak. Sanagims begin appearing in the town square.
Episode Thoughts
A good episode. I was hoping to learn a bit more about the Husty Bros. But I liked what we got so far. It was great seeing young Racules. It will be most interesting to see what may have changed him for the worse. Who or what nudged him toward the dark, crazy side.
I do hope for some nice, big story for the Husty Bros. This episode did well to whet the appetite for them. Big insight for Racules and nice character beats for Gira as he seems to be struggling with how to approach his brother. A good episode for them.
Also a good episode for the other siblings of the show. It was great to see how the truth of Kaguragi and Suzume was revealed here. And while it is not a surprise that Kaguragi had been planning something all along, it still had a great impact here. And that includes for his character, his relationship with Suzume and then the implications on Gira and Racules’ relationship as well.
The new toys looked great. First time in a loong time that I was excited by new toys on either Sentai or Kamen Rider. Especially since I don’t ever follow toy news or anything like that. I like the crown and spear. It just seemed very cool to me when Racules first whipped them out at the start of the episode.
Overall, it was another good episode. Definitely did a lot to further the story.

Still catching up with the show after being busy lately. But Im surprised that they bring out KuwagataOhger’s upgrade form this early. We’re not even halfway through the show. These things usually appear late in the second half.
Yeah, they’ve really been on a fast pace. On one hand, it’s great because there hasn’t been a filler-ish episode yet. But also kind of scary, because I can’t help but worry they’ll run out of steam later on. Hopefully not!
Hope they don’t wrap up Racules’ story too fast. I think they can do a lot of story with him and Gira.
I agree.
