Recap: Voltes V: Legacy, Episode 42 – Zardoz and Voltes V

Little Jon wants to play war games with his kuyas. That includes Kuya Manuel too. The four of them have a lot of fun in the gym. And afterwards, Manuel asks the Armstrong Bros what their real jobs at camp are. They say it’s a secret. Manuel says he thought they were friends. But just as Big Bert is about to tell him the truth, Dr. Smith calls them.

Dr. Smith is surprised to see Manuel is with them and bluntly says Manuel must leave CBF tomorrow. Manuel says he will do that as soon as it is light out.

Steve and Big Bert apologize for Dr. Smith, but Manuel says it’s only right for him to be cautious especially since he heard Voltes V is housed here. The Armstrong Bros point out exactly where Voltes V is kept and that the most elite forces of the EDF are standing guard.

Mark excitedly approaches to tell them he has admitted his feelings for Jamie. Steve congrats him. Mark thanks Steve for helping to give him the confidence to do it.

After Mark leaves, Manuel mentions how he can easily see Steve also likes the “Jamie” that Mark was talking about. Manuel says Steve is a good guy who is not selfish. But that is what will pahamak him in the future.

Steve asks if he should fight for his love even if it means fighting with Mark. Manuel says not to think about anyone else but himself. Big Bert says Steve is a martyr. Later, Steve and Jamie share awkward moments in the hallway.

In the medical bay, Manuel tries to get nurse Harvey to tell him who the Voltes pilots are. But he gets called away before he can.

Mark visits Dr. Smith and they talk about their suspicions about Manuel.

Zardoz sneaks away and calls his generals to update them on what’s happening. He says he has gained the trust of the people at CBF. But he has been surprised how nice they all are. However, that does not change his plans and he is sure he will learn the identities of the Voltes pilots tonight.

Draco and Zuhl tease Zandra about her feelings for Zardoz. Zandra is worried, but Zuhl says to trust his abilities.

Meanwhile, Zardoz again sneaks away, disguised in an EDF uniform. He manages to reach the hangar where Voltes V is kept.

Episode Thoughts

Another good episode I guess. Seeing the Armstrong Bros bonding with their kuya was a fun moment as we of course know what that all means. I assume Zarduel is going to be found out soon. But I would’ve liked to have seen more close calls and him squirming out of trouble a bit more.

Anyway, hopefully after this ordeal, the Voltes team and CBF will learn not to be too trusting of people lol

I had to laugh when Manuel said Steve was a good guy who wasn’t selfish. Umm… you don’t definitely don’t know Steve sir! He is absolutely selfish with his PK attitude! Lolol

Meh with that Steve/Jamie scene. And Eva popping up again too.

But overall, a pretty solid episode.

I’ve seen people talk about how people worldwide should subscribe to GMA Pinoy TV in order to watch the series. I’d recommend that if you are interested in watching lots of Filipino programming. But if you only want to watch Voltes V: Legacy, I don’t think it’d be a good investment. Especially since you can’t watch the series on demand anyway. GMA Pinoy TV is a linear, premium TV channel on most cable and satellite systems.
