Saturday Sounds, March 30, 2024 – HELLO GLOOM, LUCY, n.SSign, The New Six

Catching up with some new releases from last week! Featuring HELLO GLOOM, n.SSign, LUCY and The New Six.

“Mamacita” by HELLO GLOOM

Na Ungjae aka Hello Gloom never disappoints. In fact, he will always come with some surprises up his sleeve with every release. And that’s definitely the case with his latest track “Mamacita”. The house-powered track will have no problem getting you up and dancing along. And the flirtatious lyrics are effortlessly delivered though Hello Gloom’s performance. The accompanying music video features some striking visuals, but for anyone who has followed Ungjae/Hello Gloom, it should come as no surprise. Another great release from him.

“The Knight Who Can’t Die and The Silk Cradle” by LUCY

LUCY are back with the digital single “The Knight Who Can’t Die and The Silk Cradle” and it is a refreshing change of pace from the band. This track is an alternative pop rock song that features some dramatic, fantasy elements. As visualized by the breathtaking animated music video, the track evokes a confident and courageous message. You even feel like you are listening to a blockbuster film’s ending theme. And that’s a big compliment! LUCY have been able to showcase their versatility before. But this latest track shows LUCY still has more to show longtime fans and new fans alike.

“Funk Jam” by n.SSign

n.SSign released their great new album last month and they have just released a music video for follow-up track “Funk Jam”. The funky, jazz-infused dance track has a positive and energetic vibe. And if you haven’t checked out the rest of their 2nd mini album Happy &, you’ll find more great tracks like this one.

“Fuego” by The New Six

The New Six is finally back with a new digital single “Fuego”. Indeed, this is a fiery and hot pop dance track with its bass-powered sound. And its addictive chorus (which I do wish had some lyrics to go along with it), you’ll find yourself humming along to later on. The group is still working to overcome some recent hurdles. But “Fuego” definitely shows that they are pushing forward in a strong way.
