Some great music from these solo artists! Featuring from 20, Hello Gloom, Jayn Lee, Vahn, Boun, Justin de Dios
“Your Love” by from20 x Hello Gloom
Kim Raehwan and Na Ungjae aka from20 and Hello Gloom come together for their first original collab together. Of course, as the creative minds behind WAYBETTER, they’ve worked closely together in many ventures, most especially in their music as solo artists. But “Your Love” is their first original song together and it is a rousing electro-pop track. Perfect to get you up and dancing in the club. And definitely a taste of the kind of energetic vibe you’d expect when watching them live. Which is what the accompanying music video depicts, featuring clips from their recent Europe tour. It’s a great song for the fans and a great introduction to anyone who might not have yet enjoyed from20 and Hello Gloom’s creative genius.
“zzZ” by Jayn Lee
“dot.” by Jayn Lee
It was great to learn Jaeyun, former leader of TO1 and After School Club host was going to make his solo debut. And the album zzZ is such a pleasant surprise. The soulful release has Jaeyun, now going by the stage name Jayn Lee, showcasing a different side of himself that perhaps fans have not seen before. And for anyone just discovering him now, his soft, silky vocals gliding across the four tracks of the EP will certainly pique interest. So happy to see him taking this next step in his career!
“Crush On You” by Vahn
What a pleasant surprise when YouTube recommended this new release from an artist named Vahn. Little did I know he is Vahn from NINE.i, a group whose music I have definitely enjoyed. But Vahn is not only a singer and member of the group, but an accomplished songwriter as well! And he releases his first digital single with “Crush On You”, an excellent rock-powered pop track.
“Writing Love Song” by BOUN
Another YouTube recommendation has introduced me to Boun, formerly of the boy group TARGET. I had no idea he had embarked on a solo career either. But I’m so happy to know it now. His latest single “Writing Love Song” is such a great track. The pop-rock track offers wonderfully nostalgic vibes as Boun sings of the regrets of a first love. I’m definitely going to be checking out his earlier releases as soon as possible!
“Kaibigan” by Justin de Dios
It’s been wonderful discovering and learning about who Justin de Dios is as an artist. Of course, I know him as a member of SB19. But his solo releases have been such a pleasant surprise. And learning about his creativity is very inspiring. His latest single “Kaibigan” is another amazing experience of a track, especially with the cinematic music video.
