It is a long day and a close Race for the teams on their first international Leg of the season!
At the start of the Leg, some of the Pit Start pairs decide to work together to get to Marche Cristal. At the Road Block, Jojo and Erika have some trouble getting the correct translations, both losing time in purchasing the ingredients.
At This Kitchen, Ehra & Michelle are able to move to the top of the pack when initial leaders Jacob & Jerika do not follow the recipe exactly. Elma & Jojo and Miriam & Ardy make up some time and move ahead of MM & MJ. Meanwhile, Wendell & Saviour, who had made up some time in the Road Block now lose that all back when they have to re-do their entire recipe.
MM & MJ regain time as a few teams get lost on the way to the Airbus Factory. There, teams had their choice of Detour with many teams choosing the livery side, thinking it would be easier than the seemingly physical wheel side. But it turns out the landing gear installation was much quicker than the detail-oriented livery task.
This allows Jacob & Jerika to regain the lead with MM & MJ and Christian & Sam moving to the front as well. There are more placement shifts with the search for the Airbus A330neo too as trailing teams Sheryn & Mel and Doug & Chesca remain within an hour behind the front of the pack.
At the rugby drills, Ehra & Michelle have a bit of trouble getting the hang of the drills while other teams take a couple of attempts with the drop kick. Kakai & Cai especially lose a lot of time with the final drill. Doug & Chesca, who had made up a little bit of time had to complete their Non-Elimination Penalty Automatic Rewind here.
Meanwhile at the Final Road Block, observation skills and pure luck help some teams like Tom & Antoinette and Kakai & Cai make up some lost time. But it is Jacob & Jerika who just edge Christian & Sam for the Leg win. Elma & Jojo and MM & MJ are close behind with the other teams arriving within 40 minutes later.
It is a fight to avoid last place between Doug & Chesca and Sheryn & Mel. But it is the married parents who just sneak past Sheryn & Mel to avoid last place. Sheryn & Mel choose their Non-Elimination Penalty Envelope and it is an Automatic U-Turn!
