Racules offers protection for N’Kosopa if Yanma kneels before him and pledges loyalty to Shugoddam. Yanma shoots at the drone phone to signify his answer to Racules’ proposition. Gira is absolutely livid that Racules would treat Yanma in this way.
Meanwhile, Jerami contacts Racules to ask what he’s done to the peace treaty. Racules says they are not interfering with any of the Bugnarak’s moves and the Bugnarak will not attack Shugoddam. Jerami wonders if that is very anti-human behavior. But Racules insists that Shugoddam is humanity. And what he’s doing is the opposite of Yanma whose foolishness will doom his own nation.
Racules is resolved to unite all of Chikyuu which he believes will ultimately bring peace. Jerami says he is the only one who can rule over all and tells Racules to just wait for his arrival to discuss more.
Yanma and Gira head back to the palace where Yanma’s people say the Bugnarak have fallen back for now. Yanma is eager to finish the rest of them off, but Shiokara wants him to rest.
Gira believes Racules is secretly controlling the Bugnarak and wants to confront him immediately. Yanma cautions him against being too reckless. Starting now, Gira must not make even a single mistake. But Gira does not care and is ready to charge out of the palace.
Yanma grabs him and tries to punch him. Gira falls on his butt and Yanma orders his peoples to take him away.
Yanma calls Kaguragi and asks why he hasn’t come over if he’s heard about the commotion in N’Kosopa. Kaguragi says he waits for whatever Racules instructs him to do. Yanma asks if Kaguragi is Racules’ dog now, did he tell him about Gira being alive. Kaguragi jokes that he’s actually forgotten all about it. Knowing Kaguragi’s personality, Yanma nonetheless trusts him.
Yanma says he will welcome Kaguragi if he decides to come help.
Anyway, Hymeno and Rita pop up at the palace. Hymeno says Kaguragi is just stroking’s Racules’ ego. Yanma says Jerami is the start of all of this. So if they can catch him and gain control of God Tarantula, perhaps Racules can get knocked down a couple of pegs.
Rita will look for any law that they could use against Jerami while Morfonia looks for him. In the meantime, Yanma asks a favor of Hymeno and Shiokara.
Later, Racules addresses the Shugoddamians to announce the peace treaty with the Bugnarak. The peoples are happy, but Racules says another country is threatening that peace. Racules assures that along with the jet black Shugoshin, he will personally ensure the peace of Chikyuu himself.
Jerami does not like what he is seeing. Just then, Gerojim pops up to tell Jerami that a legendary Bugnarak hero Daigorg is being resurrected. Jerami can’t believe it. Gerojim worries the chaos this could bring.
Jerami hurries over to meet Racules. He tells him a story from 1000 years ago when there was a war to decide the Bugnarak king. The one hero that led Desnarak to victory was Daigorg who was able to defeat thousands of opponents. And now Desnarak is reviving him.
Jerami says someone who promised peace would not ever do something like that. So the Bugnarak have no desire to stop fighting. Racules says he knew that as he was the one that orchestrated Daigorg’s resurrection as an ultimate sign of peace. Jerami says Racules is just being used. But Racules sees nothing wrong with that. To obtain power, he would sell his soul to the devil himself.
Jerami is even more shocked with every next thing Racules says.
A cackling Racules says Jerami should be happy that peace is within their grasp.
Outside, Morfonia places a dejected Jerami under arrest and brings him to the ice kingdom to stand trial. Jerami tells Rita that he really thought he helped bring peace to humans and Bugnarak. Rita says instead, Jerami has brought them further and further away from peace.
Rita gives Jerami the option between rotting in prison or working toward peace. If he offers up the power of God Tarantula, his sentence will be reduced. Jerami can’t believe Rita is after power too. But Rita says Jerami has no power at all.
Back in N’Kosopa, Yanma henshins as Sanagims appear in his castle. Gira has been tied up and Hymeno arrives to help Yanma take on the Bugnarak in the middle of the capital.
Rita says anyone is powerless on their own. That is why you team up and join forces. Jerami says you can’t move a person with boring lectures. You must tell a story to get one’s heart pounding. Rita turns around and tells Moffun that Jerami has a point.
Jerami realizes he forgot something so simple. All he has to do is to become king and rule all. He was not any more lost than the others.
Rita and Jerami fly over to N’Kosopa. While Rita says she is here to help, Jerami says he is here by himself. He will let no one pull his strings. He is the one that passes down legends that bring about miracles.
Jerami calls on KingOhger and he has God Tarantula combine with it. He will be the one pulling the strings this time.
Yanma, Hymeno and Rita can do nothing but go along with the situation as Jerami takes control. They finish off the embiggened Sanagims. Jerami says he will never again give up his position as a hero.
Suddenly, Racules arrives in God Kuwagata Zero and shoots at them, forcing the Ohgers to get ejected. Racules says using KingOhger without his permission is treason toward Chikyuu.
Yanma tells Hymeno to go now. She thinks he’s being stubborn, but he insists. Hymeno grabs Rita to help her.
Just then, Shogun Daigorg comes thumping toward them, declaring that he will take them out with a single blow, all for his king. Yanma and Jerami shoot at him, but they can’t even leave a scratch.
Yanma charges at Daigorg, but one swing sends both Yanma and Jerami flying into a nearby building. They are forced to dehenshin.
Racules joins Daigorg and repeats to Yanma that if he wants to protect N’Kosopa, to kneel and swear loyalty. Yanma says no chance in hell. Racules thinks Yanma is willing to let his people die.
But Yanma had asked Hymeno to help the people of N’Kosopa evacuate the country. That is what Hymeno and Rita are overseeing at this very moment.
Meanwhile, Shiokara drags Gira out of the palace, hoping to get him to safety too. Gira asks how Yanma is doing and Shiokara explains that he is fighting in order to save the rest of his people.
Yanma was willing to sacrifice his country in order to keep everyone safe. But Shiokara says Gira is their only hope now in order to potentially save Yanma as well. Gira says Yanma is not the type of guy to just run away.
Yanma attempts to henshin again. But he is far too weak from his injuries. He refuses to ever bow down to anyone. He admits to be stubborn and would just as well ram into him head first rather than praise or suck up to someone.
That is who Yanma Gast is.
Yanma says to bring it on. Daigorg uses his pick axe and brings it down on Yanma as Shugoddam watches live. Racules laughs maniacally.
But Gira is able to whisk Yanma to safety before he is killed. By doing so, Gira reveals himself to the world that he is alive.
Yanma reminds his Takominchi not to lose.
Gira says he never does. He turns his attention to his brother and says he will show no mercy as he will become the true evil king.
Episode Thoughts
This was a great episode to pair with this week’s Geats episode. As Geats was very dramatic, so was King-Ohger. This was a very full episode with really lots of great character drama. It felt very exciting and the different character beats were very interesting.
If next week will be a focus on Gira and Racules, I think this episode using Yanma as an example as to what these kings can do for their peoples was very good. Of course, we know that their own peoples will be first and the priorities of each king. So perhaps knowing that will help whatever the story is with the Hustys.
I think this episode was mostly helping to set up Racules as a character too. Kind of presenting a clear (though of course incomplete) picture of the present him in order to prepare for what they will be revealing next week.
Everything else branched out from that basic starting point. That includes Jerami’s own steps forward despite the cracks in his noble, sincere effort. The shock on Jerami’s face as Racules was so nonchalantly telling him about what he’s done was amazing. Really helps to add to Racules’ ruthless behavior.
(I also enjoy Gerojim continuing to be Jerami’s right hand man.)
At the same time, while we see the kings being “selfish” (for lack of a better word that I can’t think of) for their own countries’ peoples, we also see them slowly acknowledging the idea of being stronger together. Rita certainly plainly told Jerami about that. But we also saw again the sort of unspoken understanding between the kings that there are times they must really come together. Even if it is never plainly said out loud. And without sacrificing their own kingdoms.
Overall, this was really a great episode full of drama that kind of brings together what’s happened so far and prepares for the next step that the next episode looks to be about.
Out of Studio Locations of the Week
And in addition to the Out of Studio Locations, how about this non-CGI mecha!

What a dramatic episodes from both king ohger and geats for two weeks while I am loving that all king ohger are getting development and backstory with the plot moving too much fast? And serious specially in it’s middle point usually in this point most of the sentai become goofy (minus toqger where seriousness starts from the middle ) but king ohger becoming more and more serious like it’s on it’s 30ish episode where the characters got backstory 6th ranger Mecha is their 2 or 3 plot twist has revealed
Yes! I like seeing serious stories and having a good balance with the more fun aspects too.
