Things aren’t always what they seem. And teams learned that the hard way as they Race through Denmark. Deceptively simple tasks on paper prove challenging for all teams. And split-second decisions end up deciding the Leg.
The Leg began bright and early with a Double Road Block. First place pair Taneo & Alas and Wilma & Asiana fall behind with the tricky task, allowing Jack & Pat and Hidilyn & Julius to move into the lead. Trailing teams Aljur & Vin, Kaye & Paul Jake and BJ & Mike struggle with the task, pushing them further behind.
Taneo & Alas regain some of their lost ground as they arrive in Odense just before Jack & Pat with Hidilyn & Julius and Wilma & Asiana close behind. But memorization trips up some teams, forcing a few to end up using their Interchange.
The actors on the Race are able to use their experience to find ways to more easily memorize the poem. That has Vin moving up a few spots after he and Aljur had trailed most of the day.
Herlene is the first to choose to use the Interchange as she grew frustrated with the English memorization. Alex manages to finish the task quickly, allowing the Frenemies to be on their way.
Julius, however, waits a bit longer to use the Interchange. And Hidilyn also has a bit of trouble, pushing them to the back of the pack. Once all teams had departed the Road Block, BJ & Mike also decide to use their Interchange.
At the Detour, teams experienced their own struggles with either side of the Detour. But only Herlene & Alex decide to switch, going from archery to the weaving.
At the stadium, teams fought hard for placement. After arriving at the same time, Yassi & Issa manage to just edge Taneo & Alas for their first Leg win.
On the other end of the spectrum, it was a three-way Race to avoid elimination. Though BJ & Mike arrive at the stadium before the other two teams, Hidilyn & Julius and Jack & Pat are able to step on the Mat just seconds before. That means BJ & Mike are last and eliminated.
