On the way home from grocery shopping, Kaito asks Vroom about the giant bird he encountered at the Palace. Vroom explains that Gege is like Bokkowaus’ pet, but Kaito asks if he might have a twin. Vroom doesn’t think so.
Just then, Gakuen World is in the middle of making an announcement nearby. Kaito and Vroom quickly head over and henshin. But Hakaizer pops in as well. Despite Zyuran, Magine and Gaon arriving, Hakaizer’s distraction gives Gakuen World enough time to unleash a strange wave across the city.
The Zenkaigers suddenly dehenshin and find themselves wearing school uniforms. The world turns into Tojitendo Academy, making everyone students at the new school. That includes Hakaizer who questions why he too has become a student.
Vroom is excited about getting a chance to go back to school. And so does Grandma Yacchan. The Zenkaigers hurry back home when Secchan calls and find the shop has been transformed into a school club room.
Grandma Yacchan is excited about getting a chance to wear a school uniform again.
Gakuen World announces that the school’s curriculum deals with becoming proper Kudakks. And anyone who fails will remain trapped in this school until they die. The Zenkaigers hurry out to find Gakuen World.
Ijirude explains to Bokkowaus that Gakuen World will not only train people into becoming Kudakks, but also indoctrinate the world in the ways of the Tojitendo. Bokkowaus likes the plan and Gege praises Hakaizer’s progress as well. Ijirude is excited by the kind words, much to Barashitara’s annoyance.
The Zenkaigers run around the school looking for Gakuen World, but a Kudaiter teacher punishes them for being rowdy. Just then, the Goldtsuikers arrive, defiantly refusing to conform to the rules. The teacher scolds Zox for singing without permission. And with a shield protecting him from attacks, the teacher slaps Zox to the ground.
The teacher says disobeying the rules of the school could cost you your life. All over the school, teachers are inflicting corporal punishment on students.
The Zenkaigers are up on the roof. Zox says school is pretty lame. But Kaito says that’s not right. Schools aren’t supposed to be like this. You make friends, learn lots of things and go full power participating in events at school.
Kaito says they must defeat Gakuen World so he can show them what a real school is like.
The Zenkaigers continue their search for Gakuen World and stumble upon teacher Stacey giving Hakaizer his aced test paper back. Having passed, Hakaizer is no longer a student and he gets his Tojitendo necktie. He quickly makes his way to the principal Gakuen World’s office.
The Zenkaigers realize their ticket to Gakuen World is to pass the test so they can graduate. They ask Stacey-sensei to give them the test.
The Zenkaigers take a seat in the classroom and Stacey explains that if they get one of the ten questions wrong, they will be eliminated.
The first question asks how many teeth a Kuddak has. Magine realizes it’s the keys on their keyboard face. They all give their guesses and only Vroom and Flint get the correct answer: 17.
Everyone else’s answer boards blow up in their faces.
Next question asks what are the four kinds of sushi on Sushi World’s arms. Since Sushi World appeared before the Goldtsuikers arrived on Earth, Flint gets the answer wrong.
Vroom is the last one standing and they move on to the 3rd question. Stacey shows a photo of two Worlds and asks which one is the real Trash World. Vroom answers “A.” Stacey, taking a long time determining the answer, says the correct choice is “B,” thus eliminating Vroom.
Grandma Yacchan suggests they lure Gakuen World out into the open and she has a plan.
The Zenkaigers turn into delinquents and split up into two rival factions. They take their battle to the schoolyard and the fighting attracts a pair of Kudaiter teachers.
One of the teachers hurries back to tell Gakuen World about the ruckus.
Gakuen World hurries out and tries to calm the students down. With tears in his eyes, Gakuen World says he believes in his students and wants them to lead a life on the straight and narrow as good Tojitendo soldiers.
The Zenkaigers, touched by the feelings of their principal, give Gakuen World a big group hug. But it’s actually just a ruse to allow Kaito and Zox to grab Gakuen World’s necktie which apparently gives him and the other teachers protection from attacks.
Kaito and Zox rip the necktie in half and that also removes the protection from the teachers.
Secchan excitedly tells Grandma Yacchan that her plan worked. She says that if you want to bring out the big fish, you gotta cause a ruckus. Secchan comments that’s the wisdom that comes with age.
The Zenkaigers henshin.
Hakaizer, Stacey and the two Kudaiters join Gakuen World as they battle the Zenkaigers. Kaito and Zox go Super and quickly take care of the teachers. Kaito summons Galaxy Power to keep Hakaizer busy while they deliver a Full Power Zenkai Finale Buster at Gakuen World.
The world is dismissed from school. Hakaizer and Stacey return to the Palace. But a regular Kudaitest arrives to become Dai Gakuen World. Ijirude says NuKudaitests can’t be mass produced.
Kaito and Zox hop into Zenkaiju-Oh. Dai Gakuen World is able to block all their attacks using a math test shield. Magine is able to change the test into something very simple and once they get the test correct, they remove the shield and are able to destroy Dai Gakuen World for good.
Kaito brings everyone to a real school and they see all the children having fun. They are resolved to protect the children are the future.
Episode Thoughts
This was a fun filler episode. I feel like this is the kind of world hopping I might have expected earlier in the season. Having the Zenkaigers actually engrossed in a different world that requires more than just simple set dressing. (Like throwing trash around the Toei backlot to symbolize a Trash World or Recycle World, etc.) We’ve had some visits like to Retro World, but I guess I would’ve loved to have seen more. Having them in full-on costumes or in unique locations would be very fun.
Just like the school setting can be fun. Especially when none of the members of the team are actually school-aged or attend school regularly. The title is obviously a play on the iconic Great Teacher Onizuka. So I was very amused by the different kinds of familiar high school/coming of age drama themes. From the students’ personalities to that one caring teacher who sincerely wants the best for their pupils. Fun indeed.
Even better was getting Grandma Yacchan involved as well. And basically giving the Zenkaigers the plan that successfully defeated Gakuen World.
The one interesting moment though was at the beginning when Kaito asked about Gege having a twin. And I don’t know if that’s an actual story point or just a reference to the change in voice actor.
Overall, it was a simple story for the episode, but creative and refreshing and fun.
