Music Monday, April 26, 2021 Extra – Four Emotional Rock Tracks from MOVNING, IZ, Kim Jae Hwan, DAY6

Catching up with another busy few weeks of great music, here are four emotional rock tracks from MOVNING, IZ, Kim Jae Hwan and DAY6.

“The Night I Love You Alone” by MOVNING

I only recently discovered MOVNING and I am glad I did. The alternative rock band releases their latest mini album Dream the Romance with the title track “The Night I Love You Alone.” The soaring rock ballad is an emotional track and features member Kang Harim’s passionate vocals. A beautiful track.

“Missing U” by IZ

Underrated band IZ releases “Missing U,” a thoroughly enjoyable rock track about a holding on to a love. The slightly upbeat track is an interesting contrast to the slightly melancholic lyrics. And that allows it to be a very engaging, melodic rock performance. IZ has consistently released some great music and “Missing U” is another wonderful addition to that discography.

“I Wouldn’t Look For You” by Kim Jae Hwan

Former Wanna One member Kim Jae Hwan releases his third mini album, anchored by the title track “I Wouldn’t Look For You.” The emotional acoustic rock song has the singer taking a great step forward with his sound and style. Having released a couple of wonderful ballads since his solo debut, Kim Jae Hwan pairs his strong, smooth vocals with a melodic progression that results in a dramatic track that really commands attention. The music video also enhances the passionate performance he effortlessly delivers with the track.

“You Make Me” by DAY6

It is wonderful to see DAY6 back as a full group as they release their 7th mini album The Book of Us: Negentropy – Chaos Swallowed Up in Love. Title track “You Make Me” is an emotional song about how love can be one’s strength even in the darkest of times. The dramatic, dreamlike music video enhances the track’s sense of nostalgia. And once again, the multi-talented band shows they’re one of the most compelling.
