Nick and Gorisaki are helping Hiromu and Ryuji work out in the gym, but Nick notices Ryuji is out of it. Gorisaki tells them about this morning.
Ryuji and Yoko were talking about what they’d do after this was all over and he had brought up Yoko going back to high school. He even has some brochures for her to check out. But Yoko says it’s okay, she’ll think about it later. Ryuji insists until she calls him annoying.
Ryuji is depressed now that Yoko doesn’t seem to need him anymore.
Kuroki look at last of the 13 Messiah cards and wonders where it could be. As J worries about where his pet stag beetle has gone, the alarm sounds. But there’s no Megazords in transport.
The Go-Busters head out. Hiromu hitches a ride with Ryuji while Yoko rides on Nick this time. She’s still annoyed by Ryuji who is still depressed.
They arrive in the woods and Ryuji wonders why here. Metaroids are made of manmade objects, not out in nature. Suddenly. Enter and Escape walk out. Enter greets them, but Escape asks “Papa Enter” if these guys are any good for her to fight.
They henshin and fight the just arrived Buglars. Escape, with a flower in her hair, introduces herself to Ryuji and they battle. Hiromu asks Enter what’s up with Escape and he doesn’t seem to know either.
Ryuji and Escape take their fight to a hanging bridge where he overheats. Yoko runs after him, but Ryuji fires at her before Jin knocks her out of the way. Ryuji and Escape slice through the bridge and fall to the river below.
Enter and Hiromu spar until Enter says that’s enough for today. Morishita calls them to say they’ve lost contact with Ryuji and can’t locate him. They search the area, but can’t find him. He’s washed up on the shore and wakes up with Escape wanting to have another go with him.
Ryuji’s already cooled down from the water, but Escape burns up the flower in her hair and holds it to his cheek causing him to overheat again. He henshins and Nakamura detects the signal from the Morphing Brace.
The other Go-Busters hurry to the seashore as Ryuji and Escape play around some more. She hurls him into the water, cooling him down enough to activate Powered Custom. Gorisaki pleads with him to cool down, but Ryuji just tells him to shut up and proceeds to heat up against Escape.
Gorisaki begs the others to hurry before Ryuji kills himself. Yoko is worried, but Hiromu tells her she needs to calm down herself. They’ll draw Escape away and she can try to get Ryuji back to normal. Jin calls J to help him henshin as Hiromu, Yoko and Nick hurry towards Ryuji.
Escape hurls a steady stream of fire at Ryuji causing him and Gorisaki to separate. Ryuji’s helmet and suit are shattered, torn and burnt. Gorisaki tries to stop Escape, but she pushes him aside and refocuses on Ryuji before Hiromu arrives to whisk him away.
Hiromu keeps Escape busy as Yoko runs to Ryuji who is annoyed by these meddling pests. She tries to calm him down, but he punches and kicks to the side. Gorisaki tries to get in between them only to get shot at as well. Ryuji laughs and fires at Yoko causing her to de-henshin.
Yoko looks at the cut on her knee and remembers how Ryuji has taken care of her since they were kids and how they’ve always fought together.
She says she was only annoyed by him earlier because she didn’t want to think about after the fighting was over and maybe not being together anymore.
She begs him to listen and runs towards him as he continues to fire at her. She henshins and pulls him with her over the cliff and into the water. Usada arrives in RH-03 to pull them up, much to Gorisaki’s relief.
Meanwhile, Hiromu and Escape have taken it into a warehouse as Jin and J arrive to help. Escape just happily absorbs their attacks until Yoko arrives with the Lioh Blaster. Gorisaki props up Ryuji who fires at Escape before Yoko delivers the final blow.
Enter suddenly pops out and says he is amused by their performance. He fill a chain-linked fence with Enetron and pulls out a beetle… J’s beetle that he’s been looking for and turns it into a Metaroid.
He then takes out a flower and generates a brand new Escape.
The Go-Busters are shocked as Enter takes a bow.
I definitely liked the episode. I’ve enjoyed the character episodes this season, where we get to see the Go-Busters, the Buddyroids and even Kuroki, Morishita and Nakamura just interacting with each other and their relationships with the MOTW just being the subplot.
Of course we end the episode with Enter being able to regenerate Escape and possibly, fully activating that final Messiah card.
But it was the relationship between Ryuji and Yoko that took center stage. It was a typical setup, but it definitely highlighted how the three of them have pretty much been preparing for this battle their whole lives. They didn’t have normal childhoods and with the end in sight, the idea of not having to train and worry about Enetron discharges would definitely be a scary, though relieving, thought.
I am slightly worried the finale won’t be as epic as their other two “finales.” The next episode is about Hiromu and chickens which on paper doesn’t feel very dramatic. But I have high expectations.

I cried at the moment where she was remembering her past with “big brother” Ryuji. And umm I was happy that they made up. It’s a good thing that Jin saved Yoko from Ryuji firing at her.
