Another season of Super Sentai has come and gone and another one is days away from premiering. After the conclusion of Kamen Rider Saber back in August, I decided to rank the seasons I’d watched so far. (Partly because of how negative I felt about Saber, I wanted to very clearly place it at the bottom of any list lol)
Mashin Sentai Kiramager vs. Ryusoulger (魔進戦隊キラメイジャーVSリュウソウジャー) might be one of the best Sentai VS films. Rarely does a team-up or crossover event capture the essence of both original series as well as this film does. A perfect blend of exciting action and character-driven story results in an unquestionably wonderful and satisfying experience.
Juuru and Tametomo awaken and find themselves at the beach, not knowing how they got here. While Fire begins to explain, “that woman” who was responsible is currently approaching Takamichi as he is drilling for Stones in the forest.
At the coconut tree, Mabushina wishes she could do something to help the dire situation. But Muryou says all they can do is have faith in the Kiramagers.
Carantula tells the Kiramagers that the only time the Emperor removes his mask is when they are all dead and he eats their dead bodies. That’s just the way the Emperor does things.
Mabushina and Muryou welcome the Kiramagers back to the coconut tree. Muryou tells them Takamichi sustained injuries battling Garuza and is in the medical ward.
The Kiramagers, Mabushina, Muryou and the Mashin try to comprehend the fact that Garuza will be executing Oradin in Yodonheim. Mabushina wonders why he would go through the trouble of doing it in Yodonheim and Muryou says it’s likely to cause the most humiliation.
Juuru finds himself in the throne room on Crystalia. He sees a little boy with a sketchbook thinking about what to draw. Juuru understands the feeling.
Carantula is frustrated that he seems to be in a slump lately. He hasn’t been able to come up with interesting and powerful-enough Jamenshi, even though there’s plenty of inspiration on Earth. Yodonna tells him to stop whining and being pathetic.
At school, Juuru has uploaded his latest drawing online. One of the drawings catches his eye and he contacts the artist, Karori, who immediately messages back and says he can teach him how to draw like that.
Meanwhile downtown, Tametomo is with the Crystalia sibs as they shop for a nice ring. Takamichi buys one for her as she is celebrating Kishinjinse, a sort of coming-of-age celebration. Takamichi says Mabushina will always be his cute little sister. But she says she’s already a grown adult. Her annoyance causes her to light the store up and it seems to add some extra shine to all the pieces of jewelry there.
