The 5th Leg of the Race will take place in Santorini. With €35 for this Leg, teams must drive themselves in manual cars to the fishing port in Vlychada. Some of the teams have no idea how to drive stick, plus they have to drive on the opposite side of the road. And they also have to navigate the narrow roads with some teams bumping into random cars parked along the way.
The 4th Leg begins at the Chefchaouen Clock and teams learn they will be flying to the snowy Athens, Greece. Unfortunately, Kathy & Chace will pause their Race due to COVID-19 and will resume once they gain medical clearance.
The third Leg of the Race will take place in the blue city of Chefchaouen. Beau says that in a “world first,” 18 teams will be Racing together. The two groups of teams are told to meet Beau in Chefchaouen. The Melbourne teams are shocked to see another group of teams walking toward them. The Sydney teams are shocked to see another group of teams waiting at the mosque.
In what Beau describes a “world first,” The Amazing Race Australia 6 begins, again, with a second group of ten teams heading to the second Starting Line in Sydney.
The 6th season of The Amazing Race Australia begins in Melbourne at the Flemington Race Course. Beau welcomes the ten teams to the Starting Line where he tells them the ultimate winners will win the biggest prize in TARAu history: $250,000 cash and two brand new Isuzus: the D-MAX and MU-X.
Today, May 30th, marks the 10th anniversary of the premiere of what I think is the gold standard of not just non-American, international versions of The Amazing Race, but of the entire franchise itself. Season 2 of The Amazing Race Australia is about as close to perfect as you can get with a TAR season.
Well, I must say, I am relieved that this season of The Amazing Race Australia is finally over. It’s been exhausting.
The Final Leg begins as teams are told to make their way to Australia’s capital, Canberra. The first clue contains the Road Block: Who’s the best judge of heights? Upon arrival in Canberra, teams must make their way to Lake Burley Griffin. Here, they must ride a fly board in the water for ten uninterrupted seconds while dressed as judges.
After (what feels like) 146.2 Legs, the Final Three has finally been decided and it is finally the Penultimate Leg. And for this Leg, teams will Race through Sydney.
The Final Four set off on the 22nd Leg of the Race by flying to Broken Hill. Upon arrival, teams must head to the Palace Hotel, spiritual home of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. Teams find their next clue next to the Big Heel.
