Niagara Falls
It is the Final Elimination Leg of the Race! The Final Four teams Race through Ontario, Canada in the longest Leg of the Race so far. And it all leads to a nail-biting finish to determine which three teams will get a chance to Race to the Finish Line!
Teams begin the Leg before dawn at 5am as they run inside the shining Cinesphere complex in Toronto. All the teams scramble to search the huge theater for hidden film reels. And it is Elma & Jojo to manage to find one first, though the other teams are only as much as 10 minutes behind.
A quick breakfast date with Jollibee has Miriam & Ardy and Ehra & Michelle heading to the wrong location, putting them back 30 minutes behind. Morning rush hour traffic, however, affects all the teams on their way to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and all the teams end up departing the Road Block just ten minutes apart.
The drive back to Toronto keeps teams close together, though Ehra & Michelle have now been stuck in last since the first Route Marker. Miriam & Ardy, however, are able to jump up to first with their quick bacon-making skills.
Elma & Jojo and Miriam & Ardy end up choosing the quicker Detour and both keep a slim lead on the way to the next Road Block. The previously last place team Ehra & Michelle manage to get some haystack luck as they are able to find and then project the filmstrip first.
But another long drive to Niagara-on-the-Lake has Elma & Jojo showing off their strong driving and navigational skills as they arrive first. They grow their lead to 15 minutes over MM & MJ who are able to steady their towers just minutes before Ehra & Michelle and Miriam & Ardy who are now tied for last.
The barrel task at the vineyard trips up teams, but Elma & Jojo finish first and make their way to the Pit Stop. The other teams are on their tail, with no team more than ten minutes behind them.
Elma & Jojo’s strong navigation, however, encounters a major stumble as they head in the wrong direction. That allows Ehra & Michelle, who had been in last most of the day, to check-in as Team #1!
It’s now a neck-to-neck battle between the last three teams. MM & MJ hurry to step on the Mat in 2nd. Three minutes later, Elma & Jojo just edge out Miriam & Ardy to claim the last spot in the Final Three. That means Miriam & Ardy are last and eliminated.
