It’s all in the details for the Final Six as intricate tasks challenge teams while they Race through the Andes Mountains of Colombia.
Teams begin the Leg at midday with a long trek up El Penon in Guatape. The exhausting start to the Leg and the unexpected Road Block Decision Point catch teams off guard. But they have no time to waste as they have to deal with taxis and local traffic.
Teams maintain their positions through the painting task at the zocalos in Guatape. But the two-hour drive to Medellin allows MM & MJ to move into first place. Though last place Ehra & Michelle, who struggled with the painting, are only 20 minutes behind them.
At the Roundabout, Jacob & Jerika are able to move into 4th past Miriam & Ardy. But the first Road Block and the precision needed to complete the silletas trip up some teams. Christian & Sam move back into first while Elma & Jojo make up some time right behind them.
The tejo Road Block further challenges teams, though MM & MJ and Miriam & Ardy are able to score early and depart for the Pit Stop where they finish 1st and 2nd, respectively.
Christian & Sam end up take 3rd with Elma & Jojo right behind them as Team #4.
It’s down to the last two teams. And while Jacob & Jerika depart the tejo task in 5th, Ehra & Michelle are able to get the faster taxi to secure their 5th place finish at the Mat. That means Jacob & Jerika are last and eliminated.
