Tension is high, competition is fierce as teams embark on the longest Leg of the Race so far! Luck and skill both come into play as teams push hard to avoid elimination on another close Leg!

Teams start the Leg bright and early at 7am. But teams realize it might be a bit more difficult to get ahead of other teams when they all end up on the same buses and trains to the next Route Markers.

That’s the case right at the start with six of the nine teams making the same bus from Fushimi Inari Shrine while the trailing teams have to wait for later ones.

The first Forced Double U-Turn Vote Board reveals who teams consider the biggest threats of the Race.

Teams begin to move ahead and fall behind after the ski jump and in getting themselves to Sapporo Station. But the leading teams are annoyed and the trailing teams relieved when all nine teams end up on the same 10:40am bus to Jozankei.

Searching for Kappas and eating eggs aren’t as relaxing as they should be. Kakai & Cai, Elma & Jojo, Ina & Erika, Ehra & Michelle and Wendell & Saviour comfortably get on the 1:09pm bus back to Sapporo. But Christian & Sam and Miriam & Ardy have to hustle. And while #TeamVXON just make the bus, Miriam & Ardy just miss it. They have to wait one hour for the 2:09pm bus along with Jacob & Jerika and MM & MJ.

Meanwhile in Sapporo, Ehra & Michelle manage to catch the 1:13pm train to Otaru. Kakai & Cai, Christian & Sam, Elma & Jojo, Ina & Erika and Wendell & Saviour have to settle for the 1:27pm train. Of the trailing teams, MM & MJ are the fast team as they get themselves onto the 2:13pm train while Miriam & Ardy and Jacob & Jerika have to take the 2:27pm.

At Sankaku Market, Christian & Sam rush to complete the Kani Detour as fast as possible upon learning they have been U-Turned. Despite arriving on the 3rd bus, MM & MJ finish the Kani Detour in the fastest time, but both they and Christian & Sam have a bit of trouble with the Miso Detour.

Teams maintain their positions, more or less, through the first Road Block. But the long day begins to take its toll on the teams at the music box Road Block. Ehra & Michelle maintain their lead all the way through to the Pit Stop where they claim their first Leg win.

Elma & Jojo and Kakai & Cai get lucky at the music boxes and maintain their positions through to the Mat to finish as Teams 2 and 3. The same is true for Christian & Sam who finish as Team #4.

Wendell & Saviour leave the museum in 5th, but MM & MJ and Jacob & Jerika make up time at the Snow Path Festival. The sibling teams finish in 5th and 6th. The father and son settle for 7th, which is at least better than just surviving elimination like they have been.

It is down to the last two teams. Ina & Erika, who had arrived at the museum in 2nd, struggle at the music boxes. But they leave before Miriam & Ardy who fall to last place. It is a Race between them through the Snow Path Festival. But it is Miriam & Ardy who manage to finish first and hurry to the Pit Stop to check-in as Team #8.

That means Ina & Erika are last and eliminated.
