The mini-Manila Leg had teams already fiercely competing to gain whatever advantage they could once they arrive in Sharjah. That and also the prospect of a Fast Forward Fold motivated the teams as well.

Teams got a bit lost on their way to Manila Zoo from Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium, which spread out some of the teams as they started the Detour. Wilma & Asiana moved into the lead when their decision to Chop It and their experience in running their own restaurant helped them finish the Detour first. Kaye & Paul Jake and Hidilyn & Julius used their physical strength to deliver the meals to the zoo’s residents as quickly as possible and kept them close.

The run to the Mini Pit Stop made the difference as Kaye & Paul Jake and Hidilyn & Julius passed Wilma & Asiana on the way to the CCP. The married couple claim their Fast Forward Fold.

Eya & EJ and Sheena & Jeron, who initially had trouble finding Manila Zoo again have trouble finding the Pit Stop. And it was footrace to the Mat with the volleyball sisters just edging the newlyweds.

In Sharjah, the first bit of self-driving tested the teams. All teams were able to claim an Interchange with Taneo & Alas and Aljur & Vin recording the fastest times allowing them a 2nd Interchange to use.

The Detour would prove to be the most challenging task of the Leg for the teams as either side of the Detour presented unique struggles. Five teams initially choose the Letters side of the Detour. BJ & Mike decide to switch to the Luck Detour after two failed attempts trying to memorize the Arabic letters. Wilma & Asiana move into 3rd leaving the Detour behind Hidilyn & Julius and Taneo & Alas who had the best hourglass Luck on the other side.

Lara & Marco and Sheena & Jeron, who had been amongst the first teams to arrive at the Detour after making up time with the driving have the worst hourglass Luck with a total of 40 minutes wait time at the checkpoints.

At Sharjah Safari, Taneo & Alas and Wilma & Asiana lucked out in choosing the Savannah region which had the easier set of tiles. They move into the lead, continuing to loosely work together through the Rain Room Route Marker and arriving at the Calligraphy Museum. But the second Road Block tripped up Alas and Asiana. That allowed Aljur & Vin and Paul & Jake to move into the lead.

It was a battle between the married couple and brothers and it was Kaye & Paul & Jake to came out on top to claim the Leg win.

The rest of the teams catch up to each other. And once again, the Race to avoid last place is between Eya & EJ and Sheena & Jeron. But this time, it is Sheena & Jeron who are last. For their Non-Elimination Penalty Envelope, they pull an Automatic U-Turn which they must serve out on the next Leg.
