The Amazing Race Philippines vs The World (DryedMangoez Edition Season 20) Race Tracker – Leg 11

A stunning Race to the Mat decides the Final Four on a heated Leg in Mexico.

All teams are on the same flight from Havana to Cancun, Mexico and enjoy a short evening respite at Xoximilco before their early morning bus to Merida.

Upon arrival in Merida, the two alliances continued their collaborations. Megan & Mikael and Danica & Ciara arrived at the plaza first, but the Four Pack were able to finish the task first. They were able to maintain their lead going into the Detour.

During the Detour, Megan & Mikael and Danica & Ciara run past the Four Pack as they were beginning to sell marquesitas to locals. Knowing they were trailing, the two teams decided to tell the locals not to buy anything from the three teams and went so far as to say they would get sick if they ate any of their food.

The Four Pack were shocked by the move and assured the people waiting for their marquesitas that they were perfectly clean and delicious.

The teams caught up to each other at the Road Block and Megan & Mikael were able to move up to 2nd with Mikael’s first attempt at the chili peppers.

Teams continue through and enjoy their quick dips in the cenotes.

But Chichen Itza proved to be the location that decides the Leg. Teams’ arrival at the historic site would be foreshadowing to the shocking finish as teams found themselves lost trying to find the Plaza of a Thousand Columns. A few teams were pointed in the wrong direction while others went down the wrong paths.

The Maya Ballgame tripped up all five teams with none of them able to score two goals faster than 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Jak & Sanya and Danica & Ciara were able to finish the task and head to the Mat, leaving the other three teams to battle it out against elimination.

While Megan struggled with her two goals, Rachel & Elissa and Martina & Phil were able to score and finish within a minute of each other. They decide to run to the Mat together, confident that Megan & Mikael would be far behind.

Unfortunately, a group of American college student tourists maliciously point them in the wrong direction.

Fifteen minutes later, Megan is finally able to score and she and Mikael hurry to find the Pit Stop. The same American college students point them in the right direction and end up checking in as Team #3.

Martina & Phil and Rachel & Elissa, still thinking they were safely 3rd and 4th, arrive at the Mat and are absolutely shocked when they realize that is not the case.

Rachel & Elissa, having stepped on the Mat after Martina & Phil, are eliminated.
