Tyramigo is jealous of the Ryusoulgers gushing over DimeVolcano. Ui says sometimes you want to be popular even amongst your friends. Tyramigo tries to tell a riddle, but it falls flat. Anyway, Melt is more concerned about who broke DimeVolcano’s seal.
Meanwhile, Towa and Bamba find Waizuru and Kureon with the Minosaur. They battle for a little bit before Waizuru poofs away.
Towa and Bamba meet up with Melto so they can find the person the Minosaur was birthed from. Melto tells them Koh and Asuna are trying to cheer Tyramigo up. Bamba says Koh should just order Tyramigo to quit pouting, but he knows he’d never do that.
Bamba says he understands Koh’s naiveté, but Towa says it’s kindness. Bamba says that’s the same thing.
Melt, Towa and Bamba find the Minosaur birther at the Kanto Fire Academy. One of the trainees is struggling through drills and is getting scolded. He steps out to the side so as not to get in the others way, but he soon loses consciousness. They bring him home realizing Waizuru targeted a trainee firefighter so it could be immune to DimeVolcano’s flames.
Melt hurries over to join Koh and Asuna when the Minosaur has embiggened. They morph. But Tyramigo suddenly comes running in and immediately takes on the Minosaur. They think he’s just trying to impress them.
Melt and Asuna summon their Kishiryu, but the Minosaur emits its illusion fog again. Tyramigo mistakes Triken and Ankyrose for the Minosaur and attacks them. Tyramigo gets kicked in the butt by the Minosaur and he continues to sulk.
Koh summons DimeVolcano, but DimeVolcano is tricked by the Minosaur creating the illusion of a pretty female DimeVolcano.
Back home, Ui recognizes the trainee firefighter as Shiina, her high school kohai. She is surprised that he’s training to be a firefighter when his dream had always been to become a movie director.
Ui says Shiina’s father is a firefighter, but Shiina himself had always been interested in film.
Back downtown, Waizuru tells the lovestruck DimeVolcano to join him if he wants to get the ladyDimeVolcano’s phone number. Towa and Bamba arrive and Towa uses MawariSoul to blow the illusion fog away.
Towa and Bamba explain that the Minosaur is actually projecting images onto the fog, like a movie projector. Since Shiina hated fire and wanted to make films, the Minosaur uses the smoke as a screen for the movies to be projected onto it.
The Minosaur knocks DimeVolcano away. Koh tries to get Tyramigo to snap out of his sulking by saying he has always been his favorite. Koh asks Tyramigo to combine with DimeVolcano.
Tyramigo perks up and he combines with DimeVolcano to form KishiryuOh DimeVolcano.
Melt uses KawakiSoul to help evaporate the Minosaur’s fog/steam, preventing it from projecting more movies for a little bit.
The Minosaur is able to still emit smoke though and it presents an illusion of Ui and then Asuna.
Koh hesitates to attack them two despite trying to convince himself that they’re not real.
But when the Minosaur turns into Melt, Koh doesn’t hesitate at all. Melt is sad.
Bamba suggests Koh use MeraMeraSoul to heat the steam and be too hot for the Minosaur. Koh then delivers a Volcano Slash that defeats the Minosaur for good.
Back home, Shiina wakes up and Ui-sempai encourages him to follow his dreams. His living life to the fullest is also one way to repay his parents.
Just then, Papa Naohisa walks in, shocked at what he sees. He says he’s not ready to give away his daughter just yet.
Koh tries to explain why he easily cut down the fakeMelt earlier. But Melt is actually still concerned about who unsealed DimeVolcano.
Koh excitedly thinks there’s another Ryusoulger.
Later that evening, Waizuru and Kureon are approached by Gaisorg who says it was he that unsealed DimeVolcano.
Waizuru and Gaisorg face off a little before they compare their love for showtimes and entertainment. Gaisorg promises to give them any pertinent information when he gets it.
Episode Thoughts
So I feel like this was almost a Tyramigo-focus episode. Or even a Tyramigo-DimeVolcano-focus. It’s been very interesting to see these last two episodes basically help to establish the Kishiryu having their own feelings and thoughts and not just simple robot animals. While I feel like they could’ve put in a lot more effort in the writing and story itself to really give the Kishiryu some unexpected depth, these last two episodes have been fun.
Also unexpectedly, I liked that the Minosaur birther ended up being Ui’s kohai. It’s nice to get even just these little things from the characters’ history. I know Ui’s backstory is that she was lonely growing up. Mainly not having any truly close friends. But I definitely liked that she and Shiina seemed to at least be friendly with each other. And Ui was also comfortable being a sempai. She wasn’t spazzing out or anything.
Plus Papa Naohisa walking in on them was cute. But I must admit, I would’ve thought the same thing as him if I had walked in on Ui and Shiina at that moment. I honestly thought they were going to kiss. Well, maybe not. But it looked like it lol
We also got some character development for Kureon too. He’s growing increasingly annoyed by Waizuru’s antics. Obviously, we know Kureon is going to last all season as the show cycles through different generals. But it should be interesting if we see Kureon continue to grow in ambition towards him eventually becoming the big bad or something like that towards the end.
Now for all the development with others, that doesn’t leave much room for the Ryusoulgers themselves to continue growing as characters. And with the news of some new arrivals soon, it’s going to become a little harder for some good focus eps for our core five. We’ll see though. I think in the last few episodes, they’ve really settled the five Ryusoulgers into their own boxes and haven’t let them grow out of those boxes too much. Hope that’s not going to be the case moving forward.
Though one point they continue to highlight is Koh’s naiveté and kindness. I think I mentioned earlier how it would be interesting to see Koh’s sincerity and kindness eventually be used against him and the team later on.
There was no mecha battle last week, but they definitely made up for it this week. Half of the episode was all mecha battle. But what made it fun was seeing embiggened Ui, Asuna and Melt. It was especially fun seeing the actors walking around those miniature cities they use to film the mecha battles. Hehe
Overall, this was a fun episode. Nothing too serious or anything. But that certainly changes next episode as based on the preview, we get another suicidal person the Ryusoulgers need to save. What?!

Gaisorg wasn’t surprise for me. I felt it’ll appear sooner or later. I wonder what is it planning? Hmmm…
Very interesting moment was with Ui and Shiina. I was amused when Papa Nahoisa saw them together LOL
Tyramigo being jealous of DimeVolcano and Dimevolcano in love that were very great moments! Hehehe!
Better not to be jealous or you’re gonna be in big trouble! 😛
