Oh boy. Well. There you go. Season 24 is in the books. (Finally! Thank God.)
Back in November when the teams were first spoiled and the Race played out in real time, I was already dreading this season. Many were already calling it the worst ever, even before the teams even reached the Finish Line.
And you know what? After 12 episodes, I might not be able to disagree. And that is incredibly sad for me.
I absolutely love The Amazing Race. It is still one of my favorite currently airing shows and will always be one of the all-time favorite shows ever. But I’ve made it no secret that I’ve been incredibly disappointed by the show these last few years. Especially with all the foreign versions of TAR popping up with greater frequency in that same period, the shortcomings of the American mothership have only been highlighted even more.
And TAR24 just may perfectly embody all that has been wrong with TAR these last few years. Continue reading →
Recap: The Amazing Race (24) All-Stars 2, Episode 12 – “Do You Believe in Magic?”
The final Leg of the 2nd Amazing Race All-Stars begins and teams must fly to their final destination city of Las Vegas, Nevada. They’re all on the same flight and upon running out of the airport, they must hop into a black Ford Explorer where they’ll be taken for a ride.
On the way to the next Route Marker in the darkness, the teams talk about a little tussle between Rachel and the Country Girls. Caroline & Jennifer say Rachel pushed them and cut in front of them in the Customs line. They say they were waiting for her dirty side to come out and it finally did. Rachel says that’s absurd, it’s final 3.

Recap: The Amazing Race (24) All-Stars 2, Episode 11 – “Hei Ho Heidi Ho”
The penultimate Leg begins as teams take a train to Madrid to catch a plane to London, England.
Once in London, teams hop into brand new Ford Focuses and must drive themselves to Anfield Stadium in Liverpool. While Dave & Connor and Brendon & Rachel leave Heathrow first, they get stuck in traffic allowing Leo & Jamal to arrive at the stadium first. Continue reading →

It’s 6:13am and Brendon & Rachel open the first clue telling them to take a train to Chiasso, Switzerland. More than an hour later, the Cowboys depart the Pit Stop and say they want no part of the drama that seems to brewing.
Leo & Jamal say they’d prefer to be in the Final 3 with Dave & Connor and Caroline & Jen because they’d have a better chance against them than Brenchel or the Cowboys. Continue reading →

It’s afternoon and teams open the first cryptic clue of the Leg telling them to fly to the Eternal City and find Hadrian’s Bridge. Some teams know what the Eternal City is, others don’t. Rachel thinks it’s in Ethiopia.

Recap: The Amazing Race (24) All-Stars 2, Episode 5 – “Can’t Make Fish Bite”
Teams open up the first clue of the Leg telling them to fly to Colombo, Sri Lanka. Teams can either buy tickets at the Triways Travel Cafe & Boutique travel agency or go straight to the airport.
The leading teams find a direct flight from Kuala Lumpur to Colombo leaving at 11pm and arriving at midnight. Margie & Luke’s taxi driver drives past the travel agency, so they go straight to the airport. Brendon & Rachel go the travel agent and learn the direct flight is fully booked. Continue reading →
