Right on schedule, my indecisive self says hello once again! During my annual New Year’s Eve/Day listen to my favorite songs of the year, these ten songs popped up on the playlist and they definitely left a lasting impression on my 2021 music year. So here’s ten more tracks worthy of my Top 70 (80?!) of 2021!
The MBC music channel it’s Live (formerly Mdromeda KPOP) features special live performances from a diverse mix of artists. And quite often, artists are able to present a side of themselves that they’re just unable to do on the regular network television music shows. When they say “t’s Live,” it really is LIVE. And these great examples are some of my favorite performances from it’s Live this past year.
A diverse quartet of comeback tracks from DONGKIZ, BDC, Han Seung Woo and eSNa.
Hold on a minute! After these four great tracks on Monday, I can’t forget another four tracks that have already been on repeat since their releases last week. And like Monday’s four, these tracks from A.C.E, DONGKIZ, Hyunjun Hur and CIX are going to get very high placements on my list at the end of the year.
In difficult, unprecedented times like this year has been, music can be a great escape if even for just a couple of minutes. 2020 had lots of great new music to enjoy. I wanted to share some of my favorites. It’s always hard for me to rank songs or TV shows because I’m pretty indecisive that way. lol I set out to maybe list 20 songs and here I couldn’t even keep it to 50! And then when I do have them listed, I always second guess and think a song should be higher which then has me shuffling the whole thing again. lol
It was a good week in K-pop with some great new releases from several groups. Soaring anthems and dramatic performances, here’s some of last week’s new title tracks.
We have officially crossed the halfway point of this crazy year. So I decided to share my 20 favorite songs of the year so far. Just starting out this Music Monday feature, you may get a little more insight into my musical preferences with this list. Like I mentioned in my introduction, I listen mostly to K-pop. So hopefully I can suggest some songs and artists you might want to check out.
