Teams are excited to learn this is another CashKarera Leg. And while a lot of money is on the line, teams also work to avoid a dreaded Non-Elimination Penalty Envelope as they Race through Tablas Island in Romblon!
Teams were competitive early as Kakai & Cai, Miriam & Ardy and Elma & Jojo showed off their navigation skills by arriving at the Seaside first. Meanwhile, Jacob & Jerika and MM & MJ’s navigation struggles popped back up, pushing them 15 minutes behind the leading teams.
However, the twins proved that they can never be counted out as they zoom to 2nd after the Road Block. Jacob & Jerika also move up a few spots to get them back in the top half of the teams. Kakai & Cai, meanwhile, fall from 1st to 6th.
The marble Detour would trip up some teams as Jacob & Jerika and Ehra & Michelle decide to switch from the marble etching to the marble delivery side of the detour.
Kakai & Cai would begin to make up time through their navigation and driving skills, moving up to 2nd when arriving at The Rising Pili Nuts. Christian & Sam and Wendell & Saviour also move up the ranks while Miriam & Ardy get lost.
Kakai & Cai return to the front of the pack with Christian & Sam, Miriam & Ardy and MM & MJ close behind. Frustration begins setting in for trailing teams Jacob & Jerika and Ehra & Michelle.
At the second Detour, Elma & Jojo and MM & MJ are right behind Miriam & Ardy on the way to the falls. But Kakai & Cai’s driving again regains them a few spots as they try to catch Miriam & Ardy.
But it is Miriam & Ardy, the only remaining team without a Leg win, to finally grab that 1st place spot at the Mat. Kakai & Cai claim 2nd while Elma & Jojo just edge MM & MJ for 3rd.
Ehra & Michelle, who had been last most of the day, are able to get through the Detour a bit faster than others. And that is enough to get them into 6th after 5th place Christian & Sam.
It’s down to the last two teams. Wendell & Saviour, in a familiar position, and Jacob & Jerika who are the opposite. The two teams are only five minutes apart leaving the Detour with the father and son in last place. But one wrong turn pushes Jacob & Jerika off course, allowing Wendell & Saviour to finish as Team #7. That leaves the siblings in last and they end up choosing the Automatic Rewind Penalty Envelope!
