The Amazing Race Philippines: DryedMangoez Edition Season 22 Race Tracker – Leg 11

This Penultimate Leg is all about putting yourself in best position for the final Race to the Finish Line. The Final Three teams must pull from their experiences and relationships from the last 10 Legs as they Race across Jeju Island in order to avoid a potential Non-Elimination Penalty that could keep them from crossing the Finish Line first.

The Final Three teams begin the Leg at the same time at Sunrise Peak, Seongsan Ilchulbong with a Road Block. Hidilyn is able to correctly assemble her jige first, but Kaye and Wilma are right behind her. The teams stick close together as they embark on their 1.5km, 1 hour log collection hike and through to their arrival at the Jeju Haenyeo Museum.

The first and only Blind Detour of the Race throws teams for a loop. Kaye & Paul Jake and Wilma & Asiana both initially choose Beyond the Wall. When they learn of what the task entails, they consider switching Detours, but decide to continue with the diving. Hidilyn & Julius are able to complete the bulteok construction first, giving them a 20 minute lead ahead of 2nd place team Kaye & Paul Jake,

Wilma & Asiana are 25 minutes behind the leaders, but make up a lot of time when they are the first to figure out the Mysterious Road clue points them to the Jeju Teddy Bear Museum. The mother and daughter would move into the lead after Asiana is the first to complete the memory Road Block.

But the infamous task involving teams matching their opinions on other teams really stump all of the Final Three. Multiple attempts and trial and error have Kaye & Paul Jake leaving Jungmun Beach first with Hidilyn & Julius just 11 minutes behind. Wilma & Asiana complete the task and depart the beach 27 minutes after the leading team.

But as they have done all Race, Wilma & Asiana’s navigational skills help them come within 15 minutes of Kaye & Paul Jake who officially check-in at the Pit Stop as Team #1. That won’t be enough, however. And the mother and daughter team end up checking-in last. They pick their Non-Elimination Penalty Envelope and it is a Self Yield. Wilma & Asiana will have to Self Yield at any point during the Final Leg.
