Daiki says he’s just following a passing-through Kamen Rider. He poofs away.
Meanwhile, Hajime tries to protect Amane from Kazuma’s finisher, but she is able to be released from Another Blade. Hajime runs and Amane chases after him.
Sougo has no idea what’s going on. They all head back to the shop. KuroWoz starts to explain, but Kazuma finishes. Kamen Rider Blade and Kamen Rider Chalice are both Jokers who have to fight whenever they meet. That’s why Kazuma made it so they would never have to cross paths. Because when the battle ends and one Joker remains, the world will be destroyed.
Geiz remembers ShiroWoz saying he would let the world be destroyed if he couldn’t get the future he wanted.
Kazuma continues to explain Amane is a girl Hajime had always protected. Tsukuyomi realizes this is all to lure both Kazuma and Hajime out so they can battle.
Kazuma tells them this battle is between him and Hajime. He gets up and leaves.
Later, Geiz finds ShiroWoz who asks one last time if Geiz will be his savior. Geiz says he is looking forward to seeing what future Sougo can create since it is his future too.
ShiroWoz is not happy.
Geiz heads back to the shop to tell them about ShiroWoz. They try to figure out how to take Amane out of the equation to prevent Kazuma and Hajime from clashing.
Uncle Junichiro comes in and asks what Sougo’s plan for the new school year is. Sougo says he’s gonna be king of course. Uncle Junichiro thinks he means king of part-time jobs.
When Sougo sees the old camera Uncle Junichiro is holding, he realizes they must search photo studios to find out where Hajime could be now. They learn of his forest cabin and they decide to head over.
Before that though, KuroWoz points out how Amane’s weakness is her past with Hajime. He says dwelling on relationships of the past is very troublesome. Sougo asks if that includes Woz and Geiz.
Amane finds Hajime in his cabin and asks him why he left her. She spots the photos he’s taken of the world and realizes this is what he’s always wanted to capture. Hajime says if he had not left, Amane wouldn’t have grown up to become the woman she was always meant to be.
Just then, ShiroWoz has been able to write Kazuma into finding this cabin.
Albeit reluctantly so, Hajime and Kazuma henshin and battle.
Amane tries to get them to stop. But ShiroWoz suddenly pops in and reactivates the Blade Watch in her even though she has realized she was wrong to hold Hajime back. Amane as Another Blade begins to rampage and forces both Hajime and Kazuma to dehensin.
She then sucks in both their power, which attaches to her chest. Both Hajime and Kazuma feel the difference.
Sougo and KuroWoz meet Geiz before they arrive at the cabin. But ShiroWoz stops them. He tells Geiz he is no longer his savior and that they are too late. They watch as the Jokers’ powers are now one. ShiroWoz proclaims the end of the world has begun.
Sougo tells Geiz and KuroWoz to go on ahead while he stays to talk to ShiroWoz. They hurry over.
Sougo asks ShiroWoz what happened to the future he was fighting for. ShiroWoz says the future he wished for is now impossible, so he would rather want no future. Sougo says he shouldn’t give up since no future is set in stone. The future is what they make it to be now.
ShiroWoz reminds him that they are enemies. Sougo says that’s why he should continue on and continue to make it hard for them. But Sougo smiles and adds that they won’t lose to him.
KuroWoz tells Geiz that he knows he could never forgive him. Geiz says now’s not the time for that. But KuroWoz says the world is ending. If that’s the case, Geiz says while he hates Woz, he hates himself more for always dwelling on the past.
KuroWoz remembers saying the exact same thing to Sougo earlier. Sougo had said while it’s the past for them, it is the future to him. And together, they can shape the future.
Geiz continues that instead of dwelling on the past, he, rather they can shape a new future with Sougo. Geiz invites Woz to join them. Woz says that does sound very intriguing.
But for now, they must defeat Another Blade.
Back down the mountain, ShiroWoz gives Sougo the new Trinity Watch and says if he uses it, then he will accept it. Sougo doesn’t asks what ShiroWoz would accept, but he just tells him to go.
Sougo hurries up as Another Blade is battling Geiz and Woz. He immediately activates the Trinity Watch. Regulus clears the skies and suddenly Geiz and Woz are both engulfed in bright lights.
Somehow, Trinity Watch takes Geiz and Woz and attaches them to Sougo’s arms. Sougo, Geiz and Woz are all in one body, their powers combined.
Woz makes the proclamation for Kamen Rider Zi-O Trinity.
Zi-O Trinity is able to really counter Another Blade’s attacks and power. And they are able to defeat Another Blade for good, also stopping the apocalypse that had begun.
Geiz and Woz are released from Sougo’s body.
Hajime runs over to Amane to make sure she is okay. He says he will always come running to her when she needs him. But Amane says she wants to explore her own world now too, as he did.
Sougo picks up the Blade and Chalice Watches and returns them to Kazuma. But Kazuma says Sougo can hold on to them, especially since it might mean the power of Joker is sealed away in the Watches. He and Hajime may be free now.
Later, the two Wozes meet as Regulus shines bright in the evening sky. KuroWoz asks if today has become the new Oma Day. ShiroWoz says yes and that a new, unknown future has begun.
But KuroWoz points out that a new Oma Day means only one of them can exist. Yet ShiroWoz chose KuroWoz to be that Woz. Why?
ShiroWoz says he failed to make any friends, unlike KuroWoz.
“I’ve made friends?” KuroWoz asks.
ShiroWoz says he likes Sougo and believes he will create an interesting future. He asks KuroWoz to take good care of him. But he also warns KuroWoz of Schwartz and his schemes.
Before ShiroWoz disappears, he expresses his wish that KuroWoz’s future is not clouded in darkness.
On the other side of town, Daiki pops in with ShiroWoz’s tablet, his new treasure. He also has a message from Oma Zi-O.
Oma Zi-O says there are six Watches left to collect along his path to become king.
Well that was a very interesting episode. Obviously, we got the debut of Trinity. But what was most interesting to me was the poignant moments for Woz. Both Wozes.
Trinity seems like Toei and Bandai really loved Patren Ugou on LuPat so they wanted to do it here on Zi-O too. hehe But maybe there’s a deeper meaning related to our heroes.
The moment that really popped out was that scene between the two Wozes. First, I didn’t even think about one having to disappear on Oma Day. Though that certainly makes sense. But I was more struck by ShiroWoz’s poignant message to KuroWoz.
I’m sure others may say the “I didn’t make friends” line is forced or contrived for ShiroWoz. But maybe it isn’t so out of nowhere. This season seems to be all about friendship and bonds. And these last two episodes certainly drive home that point when thinking about Blade‘s story and the relationship between Kazuma and Hajime. And of course, bringing in Daiki and remembering his “It’s complicated” relationship with Tsukasa.
So after the last several episode arc of solidifying Sougo and Geiz’s friendship (with Tsukuyomi as well, though to a far lesser extent), we might now be moving toward establishing how Woz fits into #FamilyKujigoji. We started off last week being reminded of and learning a lot more about Woz’s history with Geiz and Tsukuyomi.
And if we’re to take Keisuke Watanabe’s performance as both KuroWoz and ShiroWoz seriously, then there’s definitely something deep down in Woz that suggests maybe he’s just looking for friends as well. That ShiroWoz was sincere in his words and KuroWoz’s reaction when Sougo talked about possibly changing the future (Woz/Geiz’s past).
It sounds like a very simple thing. But it would certainly fit well with everything else this season. Trinity might be a literal depiction of the three working together or them being destined to work together in the future. Who knows.
But it really was unexpected to see that little emotional moment for the Wozes. And soon learning the truth about why Woz might have been a traitor to their team should make for some nice story if used in connection with possibly developing a true friendship between them all.
Elsewhere in the episode, the resolution to Kazuma, Hajime and Amane’s story was very nice. Even though I don’t know much about Blade, the story still resonated very well. And I’m sure for anyone who has seen Blade, their story here would be even more meaningful. Especially the ending.
And it would appear the door is left open for Daiki to return later in the season. I certainly hope so!
Also, if ShiroWoz no longer exists, does that also mean Shinobi, Quiz and Kikai also cease to exist too?! That might be the most sad development of all! Hehe
Finally, Oma Zi-O’s message about the final six Watches left to catch interestingly showed Drive last. I will assume they are just waiting for Takeuchi Ryoma’s schedule to open up for, at the very least, a quick cameo. Since for any return, I’m sure they would save one of Japan’s hottest stars today as the big finale return, you know? hehe
Overall, a very interesting episode with some very interesting character development!
