Leg 7 – “I should’ve done this. I like blowing.”
It’s time to set off on the 7th Leg of the Race. And this Leg will see teams flying to the United Kingdom and Edinburgh, Scotland.
Teams will first need to fly to London on one of two flights: British Airways arriving at 8:55pm or SAS arriving at 9:15pm. Once in London, teams will need to secure train tickets to Edinburgh.
All teams will end up on the same train arriving in Edinburgh at 9:21am.
At the airport, teams must choose a brand new 2016 Kia Sportage.
They will drive themselves to the Edinburgh Christmas Market for their next clue.
At the Christmas Market, teams must search these snowglobes for one with a small Race flag inside. Their next clue will be on the bottom.
That clue directs teams to Gosford House in Longniddry. And searching through the regal estate, teams will find the Road Block: Who likes to blow?
For this Road Block, teams must dress in the uniform of the Royal Scots Regiment and learn how to play a drone on a set of bagpipes while marching around the grounds of the castle. Once they get the thumbs up, they will receive their next clue.
Teams must now drive to Craigmillar Castle and search for their next clue.
That clue will reveal the Detour: Tasty Puddin or Whiskey Rollin.
In Tasty Puddin, teams must travel to Sheep’s Heid Inn in Duddingston where they must prepare haggis with oatmeal and ox intestine. Once they prepare four portions and eat a serving, they will receive their next clue.
In Whiskey Rollin, teams must roll eight barrels of Scotch whiskey up a hill and deliver them to a party. Once they’ve delivered all barrels, they will get the next clue.
And that clue points teams to the Pit Stop for this Leg of the Race, Parliament Square along the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.

The last team to check-in here WILL NOT be eliminated! They must choose a Non-Elimination penalty envelope:

Now this is a recycled Leg! Lol
After Copenhagen, a logical (and easy) location to visit in Europe would be the UK. So Scotland it is.
The Christmas Market task is basically TARC3’s model railroad task where teams needed to search for a mini-Jon Montgomery. Here, teams will search for a mini Race flag in snowglobes.
The rest of this Leg is from TAR22. It wasn’t a particularly memorable Leg, especially with only a few teams. But since we have six here, it should be more exciting. The Road Block will take place outside instead of just walking around the house. And the Detour is just as it was in TAR22.
This should be an okay Leg. The tasks should hopefully challenge the teams enough to make for good episodes.
