Leg 5 – “Jerk the goat bag until it turns into cream.”

It is just before sunrise when teams open their first clues of the Leg in front of Gare de Marrakech.

Teams must make their way to El Massi where they must search for a marked feed station. After picking up two bags of hay, they will then deliver it on foot to a marked horse stable nearby.

After delivering the hay, teams will choose a horse drawn carriage that will take them back to the center of Marrakech. When they’ve rewarded their horse with an apple, teams can search behind the Koutoubia Mosque to pick-up a 2015 Kia Sorento and their next clue.

Teams must now drive themselves to the Abdessadek Boufoulouss Pottery Stand and search for their next clue.

That clue reveals the Detour: Camp or Cream. For both Detours, teams will drive themselves to Oumnasse Casbah.

In Camp, teams must set up a traditional Berber tent, making sure to furnish it with the provided rugs, tables and settings. Once the judge is satisfied with their tent, teams will receive the next clue.

In Cream, teams must milk a goat to fill a pail to the marked line. They will then use a goat skin to traditionally churn the goat milk into butter. Once they have 3 ounces of butter, they will be given the next clue.

Teams will now be directed to Terres D’Amanar where they will find the Road Block: Who wants to glide and slide?

For this Road Block, one team member must cross a series of rope and plank bridges before riding a zip line across the canyon.

Halfway through the course, teams will encounter a Yield board.

After checking in at the Yield, teams can continue the Road Block by putting together a wooden puzzle. Once the puzzle is correct, teams will complete the zipline course to reunite with their partner and receive the next clue.

And the final clue of the Leg directs teams to the Pit Stop at Casbah D’If.

The first team to check-in here will win P100,000 courtesy of Shell V-Power Nitro+.

The last team to check-in here WILL be eliminated.

“Director’s” Commentary

Though not as exciting as TAR25’s first Morrocco Leg, this was still a great Leg and episode with good tasks. The Leg design is also pretty solid, so I don’t think there really needs to be any modifications made from the original TAR25 Leg.

Having teams running around Marrakech some more is definitely great. Gotta swap in the TARPH sponsor Kia of course.

The Detour was pretty balanced and either side should provide some fun moments.

And the Road Block is another one that’s perfect for a Yield right in the middle of it.

It’s a straightforward Leg, but good tasks and great locations should make it very enjoyable. Even more if it’s a group of great teams running it.
