Bye Bye MoJo! This is the first time in AMAZING RACE history that I do not have one single favorite in the final 3.
More on MoJo later… to the episode… Again, another episode reminiscent of a past season. The sacred monkeys were definitely reminiscent of the sacred rats in India during season one. That ROAD BLOCK was probably harder than it looked, having to cut all of those vegetables and fruits and then setting it up all while the monkeys are attacking you, that would be tough. And those monkeys, not only attacking the Racers, but the cluebox as well? I didn’t know those clueboxes were so flexible, I thought they would’ve just fell over.
At least both the DETOUR and ROAD BLOCK showed off some of the Thai culture. The DETOUR should have favored Monica & Joseph, but as seen in their Early Show and Finish Line interviews, they were only minutes behind Ray & Yolanda. The taxicab was what did them in, which is easy to believe.
Eric & Jeremy were more serious again last night, which is good. They probably have the best odds at winning the whole thing. As for them winning, I don’t know if I want to give these aspiring actors/celebrities the million dollars. But in terms of racing, they’ve done extremely well. Ray & Yolanda, I thought would get better, but they still haven’t contributed much to the Race overall. So I don’t think they’re exactly deserving per se, but who knows. And BJ & Tyler, 100 “TTOWs” too many (or “TThai” if they’re in Thailand). Their little mindgame they played last week was definitely mean-spirited, and I thought they were supposed to be carefree guys… hippies… I would probably be as upset if they won as I was when Freddy and Kendra won in TAR6.
*start MoJo gushing* Monica & Joseph, my favorite team from day 1… I don’t get all the hate towards them. Monica was by no means Flo v2.0. She never gave up, she pushed forward and completed all the tasks she faced. Joseph and Monica are by no means the volatile couple everyone makes them out to be. They have their little bits of frustration and that’s it. They calm each other down, and I definitely think they will be very happy together… They ran a good Race, but were just plagued by mistakes last night. Still congratulations to them, they did well… *end of MoJo gushing*
So the two-hour finale is next week! Hopefully those wonderful, dedicated TAR fans tune back in… we don’t want CBS getting rid of TAR now do we?
