EP 8-02: HOW DO YOU KNOW WE’RE NOT GOING TO GET SHOT? Darn… one of my favorite teams was PHILiminated. I hoped for a non-elimination round this early in the RACE, since there will probably be 4 or 5 this time around. The ROGERS Family is one of the physically stronger teams… but one mistake just ended the RACE for them. Too bad, they seem like a very nice family and could definitely have won the whole RACE. Meanwhile, the LINZ Family has rebounded and placed 2nd and the PAOLO Family continues their bickering ways… That shoe house was cool… if would’ve been cooler if the old lady was there with all her children giving them the clue… I love it when TAR has those easy, yet vague clues where there could be one possible place to find the next clue. After watching the Season One DVDs, the two reflecting pools were reminiscent of the two pendulums in Paris. Anyway, that tricky, yet simple clue fracked up the GAGHANS and the BRANSENS. Another classic TAR road block, the needle in the haystack… this time instead of bales of hay or hundreds of people in masks at a masquarade ball, it was a bunch of secret service agents with briefcases. Then the best part of the episode… wouldn’t be freakin’ cool to be on that battlefield? That gave me goosebumps just sitting at home, imagine actually being there (imagine actually being in an actual war). The five soldiers or 20 oil lamps seems like an easy decision… five soldiers of course… but then so many teams wanted to give up… and then the ultimate quit by the ROGERS Family… The episode was not at exciting as the premiere… and I’m sure many die-hard TAR fans will have quit the show after tonight, but TAR is still on a roll and doesn’t deserve deserters… leave that for the anti-war liberals… QUOTES FROM EPISODE 08-02 Bill Gaghan: “Now we’re in race mode… we’re not in stupid mode.” MarkShroeder: “It’s a freakin’ shoe!!” Godlewski: “Don’t you want three backseat drivers?” Godlewski: “No, not really.” Nick Linz: “No stops… If you gotta pee, you pee in a cup,” Megan Linz: “Ewe” RebeccaWeaver: “What state is Washington D.C.?
