CBS, Phil Keoghan Reveal ‘Amazing Race 10’ Teams
At the CBS session of the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour, Phil Keoghan revealed the teams who will compete in the milestone 10th season of The Amazing Race.
For the first time since season 4 there will be 12 teams this go-around, and it seems as if the TAR10 cast is the most diverse yet. Included in the list of teams are the first Muslim team, the first Indian-American team, the first amputee, and a father and his lesbian daughter. Plus, there are the expected teams of models as well as a team of Miss USA contestants. (NBC’s “Treasure Hunters” features a team of 3 Miss USA contestants, while Miss USA and Miss Teen USA contestants were part of TAR5).
The new season will premiere in late-September on its new night, Sundays after “60 Minutes” and most likely NFL overruns.
Also mentioned at the Press Tour, producer Jonathan Littman said they wouldn’t be doing another Family Edition, while an All-Star Race is still a possibility.
The 12 teams are:
