PHANTOM PLANE STILL LOST IN PHILIPPINES

PHANTOM PLANE STILL LOST IN PHILIPPINES

Well, my little family hometown of Ballesteros, Cagayan, Philippines has always been full of stories of murderous mermaids, neighboring witches, and rain soaked white ladies walking the roads. But the newest mysterious occurrance happened last Thursday.

Apparently, residents of Barangay Sta. Cruz heard and saw a low-flying plane which soon hit some trees and then disappeared from sight. Minutes later, smoke was seen rising from the ocean waters. Since then, the Philippine Air Transportation Office has confirmed that no plane was flying in the area at the time of the crash. Also, all Philippine Air Force and all private planes have been accounted for.

The Philippine Navy and Coast Guard has been searching since Friday morning, but there have been no signs of debris that would signal a possible crash.

Aliens? Ghosts? Mangkukulams? Murderous mermaids using magic to bring planes out of the sky? Hmm… just another quiet day in Ballesteros.

And I just watched ABS-CBN’s The Correspondents and damn I was tearing up… it was so freakin’ sad to see all those old people in the “Koreksyonal,” some of them wrongly convicted… but most especially, the follow-up of the story from a few months ago about two sisters who haven’t seen each other in 20 years becuase they didn’t have money for the trip. The sister in the koreksyonal died a few weeks ago and their wish before was that they could see each other before they died 🙁 At least they were able to be granted that wish. So freakin’ sad…
