Oslak is so confident that his Beastfighter Okozenia will defeat Voltes V that he prepares a toast with Zardoz and Zandra. The Voltes team whips out their whip and tops and then the Laser Sword, but Okozenia’s impenetrable armor has Voltes V on their back. Suddenly, a Mechanical Eagle comes flying in and somehow breaks down that armor with a Light Beam Generator. That allows the Voltes team to finish off Okozenia for good.

General Oslak laughs at the Voltes team, calling them animals and saying he is sure to wasak Voltes V. Just then, they find that their raider system is experiencing a cascade failure and are now vulnerable.
Big Bert takes on Draco, Jamie faces off against Zandra and potential bromance Steve and Mark battle Zardoz. But only for a few seconds. Zardoz just wants to mess around with them and orders his soldiers to capture them so he can bring them to Zambojil. The Voltes team fight off the soldiers and then hop onto the Portalis.

Zuhl offers to bring them all to Zardoz’s secret castle lair. Mark warns them not to trust this “ugok.” Zuhl has no idea what “ugok” means so Mark explains…
Little Jon wants to go look for Papa Armstrong, but Big Bert says they won’t be able to just leave CBF whenever they want. Big Bert blames himself for their father being taken away and feels guilty for now losing Mama Armstrong, Judy and now their father.

Zuhl uses Zoldier’s mangled parts to rebuild and upgrade the Beastfighter as the Voltes team, minus Mark, get close. A soldier tells Zuhl about their approach and the possibility of them tracking a signal from Hrothgar. Zuhl orders his peoples to raise the apparatus energy in order to block the signal.

After he is thrown into a holding corner, HrothNed cuts his finger and uses the blood to write a message on his clothes. Just then, Big Bert comes storming in, guns ablaze, shooting the guards.

Mark and Jamie follow the spaceships, but General Watson orders his troops to retreat for now. Mark and Jamie join the Armstrong Bros in following the Skull Ship. They Volt In, but the Bros hesitate to shoot their bazooka when they see x-ray video of the Papa Armstrong-looking person getting dragged away.

Dr. Hook congratulates the Voltes team. Steve says they wouldn’t have made it had it not been for him and apologizes for acting like a spoiled asshole earlier. Dr. Hook says he is hard on them because he wants them to succeed. True teamwork involves hardships and sacrifices.

The Voltes team returns to CBF, exhausted and frustrated with Dr. Hook’s methods. But they arrive to the sight of their belongings being taken away from their rooms. Dr. Hook says he’s just been cleaning out their trash and that they should not keep anything that is not work-related. Mark points out his rodeo trophies are being taken too and Dr. Hook says it’s things like that which only feed their huge egos. All these nonsense items are just distractions.
