The final seven teams continue the Race by flying to Hobart, Tasmania. Upon arrival, teams must drive themselves to Wrest Point Hotel. Here, teams will sloppily put on “70s attire” and build a house of cards that is five stories tall.
The Race continues with teams in the Sunshine Coast. Teams will head to Rick’s Garage and hitch a ride in a classic car to Brisbane. Stan & Wayne and Chris & Aleisha learn their Salvage and Sabotage are connected. The Geek and Princess must carry the Bodybuilders’ bags the entire Leg.
Teams have flown to Sunshine Coast and the Glass House Mountains where they will encounter an Intersection as soon as they arrive. For this Intersection, half the teams will be stranded on the mountains and get themselves to the highest point. They will then contact their teammates who must figure out their locations on a topographic map and join the Land Rover Life Flight Special Mission crew to rescue them.
Teams begin the lucky 13th Leg in Port Lincoln where they will fly back to Townsville to take care of some unfinished business. Upon arrival, teams must find a Campervan and drive to Big 4 campsite in Rowes Bay where they will sign-up for a departure time tomorrow morning. Teams will be released every two minutes at 5am.
It is 4am in Adelaide as teams start the 12th Leg by learning they must fly to Port Lincoln. The Cowboys learn that their Salvage advantage is an iPad they can use for directions. Chris & Aleisha’s Sabotage is that they cannot ask directions for this Leg.
The teams are back on The Ghan as they make their way to Adelaide. Upon arrival, teams will make their way to Adelaide Oval.
Once teams arrive in Coober Pedy, Beau has a big announcement for them. There’s another Stowaway team joining the Race: bodybuilders Stan & Wayne. They will have to earn their spot in the Race by departing in last.
Teams fly from Darwin to Alice Springs for this 9th Leg of the Race. For their Sabotage, Jaskirat & Anurag will have to carry a large stuffed kangaroo at all times. Dwes & Katherine will get a personal driver in Alice Springs as their Salvage Advantage.
The Racers are given a traditional welcome by TARAu4’s Jasmin & Jerome to start the 8th Leg. Afterwards, they will depart in the order they arrived and encounter the Detour: Stomp or Chomp. In Stomp, teams will learn a traditional Chinese lion dance. In Chomp, teams will eat an entire barramundi fish using only chopsticks.
The teams finally leave Queensland and head to the Northern Territory. But at Darwin Airport, Beau has a surprise for the teams. He gathers them together to shock them with a Stowaway Team, footy mates MJ & Chelsea.
