While Tassel cries over the current state of the season, Storious, Zooous and Legeiel talk about the impending door opening. Meanwhile, Desast approaches the dark sword and out pops Calibur.
Rintaro and Mei watch as Touma sits by a perfectly alive Kento’s bedside. Touma opens the book he used to read with Kento and Luna. Rintaro explains that Kento thought Touma died on That Day and was happy when he found out he was actually alive. That meant the three friends could fulfill their promise to each other.
Mei is happy to see Rintaro has finally awaken. She’s been by his bedside while he is recovering. But all Rintaro cares about is how Kento’s doing. Mei tells him that Kento is fine and Rintaro is relieved.
Touma approaches Kento on the rooftop and tells him about remembering that Daichi saved his life on That Day. Kento realizes Daichi is the only one who can answer his questions about his father.
Tassel is surprised by the rapid growth in power of the Books, but is worried by the side effects.
At the shop, Touma tells Mei about being unsure which idea he should flesh out for his next story. A couple of his ideas are based on familiar people around him.
Thoroughly overpowered, Kento demands Calibur explain why he betrayed them 15 years ago. Calibur says he will know someday.
As Rintaro enters Liberation, Sophia and Tetsuo explain that it is a training ground where time moves differently and can put an enormous, life threatening strain on the body.
Touma thinks about how the SoL and the Megid are all fighting over books when they’re supposed to bring people happiness. He heads to the North Pole and asks Kento to tell him more about Wonder Ride Books.
Kento whisks Touma and Rintaro safely back to the North Pole to regroup. Rintaro says he will go out and look for the rainbow bubbles that foretell the arrival of Megids in order for them to exploit that. Ogami-san says he will go after Calibur.
