Houtarou is excited about all the Chemies he’s been able to befriend. But Sabimaru shows him all the other Chemies that are still out there. Houtarou calls out to Santa to help point him to the missing Chemies. Renge says he has a lot of free time to go out and search, but Houtarou remembers he has a lot of work at the restaurant since it gets pretty busy for Christmas. He asks if they could help out, but Sabimaru hates crowded places and Renge has a part-time job selling Christmas cake. That leaves Rinne to become Houtarou’s special helper.

Houtarou henshins to Super Gotchard Cross X-Rex. Clotho is undeterred, however and the two of them battle. Houtarou showcases X-Rex’s immense power, being able to drive the Dread-powered Clotho back. Clotho locks in more Chemy Cards and allows herself to fight back.

Rinne visits Kitchen Ichinose as Houtarou is helping to decorate for their annual Christmas party. Mama Ichinose explains that they like to hold a Christmas party for their regular customers a week early since they’ll most likely want to spend the actual holiday with their loved ones.

In the middle of English class, Houtarou has a terrible nightmare about Sabimaru as Dread rampaging and ending with him dying by his own hand.

Sabimaru realizes Harima has used forbidden alchemy which could end up destroying her arm. She likes it though. But she is shocked when Houtarou shows he can understand the hearts of Chemies. Houtarou repeats that Chemys have pure hearts that are only corrupted by human malice.
