A wonderful performance from ATEEZ’s Seonghwa and catching up on new music from CLOUD7, KickFlip, and SHINee
ATEEZ Seonghwa on Lee Mujin Service
I was introduced to Lee Mujin as an artist just a few weeks ago. And it was great to find out he has a great webseries Lee Mujin Service on KBS where he welcomes artists for conversation and music. I was especially excited the other day when his guest was my ATEEZ bias wrecker-turned-bias Park Seonghwa! Even more excited when the episode opens with Seonghwa performing a solo version of ATEEZ’s latest (awesome) title track “Lemon Drop”! Amazing performance, by the way. But aside from the fun interview and awesome fanboy moment from Seonghwa, he also performs IU’s “Palette”, “The Door” from Jukjae, and “Sugar Sweet” by Benson Boone. A must-watch for Seonghwa fans, ATEEZ fans, and new fans alike!
“Bara Bara” by CLOUD7
Great tropical rhythms power CLOUD7’s newest track “Bara Bara”. I’m not sure if they have released anything recently, but it was good news when they signed on with Sparkle last year. This new track is a wonderful youthful vibe that perfectly suits the group. And it’s a great introduction for anyone who has not checked the multi-talented guys out yet!
“Freeze” by Kick Flip
Kick Flip make their first comeback with “Freeze”. It is a great, youthful track fitting for the rookie group. And they deliver a likeable, energetic performance. The rest of the album Kick Out, Flip Now! has a nice mix of tracks. My favorite tracks are the rock-powered “Before the Sun Explodes” and “Complicated!!”
“Poet | Artist” by SHINee
Celebrating their 17th anniversary, SHINee released their first ever single album Poet | Artist with the title track of the same name. It’s a special track as it was written by the late Jonghyun and was also the title of his final album. The great track not only commemorates the group’s enduring careers, but also a great tribute to Jonghyun as well.
