Catching up on some latest releases from Japan with BUGVEL, INI, ORBIT’s Tomoaki Ando, JO1

“Zone” by BUGVEL

BUGVEL make their latest comeback “Zone” after their last release in February. The title track is a catchy hip-hop dance track, written and composed by member Mahiro and featuring a sample of Beethoven’s “Fur Elise”, adding to its dynamic sound. The B-side tracks “AyAyAy” and “Stars” are great as well.

“Dominance” by INI

Always nice to stumble upon fresh music from INI. And “Dominance” is a dynamic and charismatic track that allows the group to show off their confidence and swagger in a compelling performance.

“Melting Rain” by Tomoaki Ando (Orbit)

What a pleasant and welcome surprise from ORBIT’s Ando Tomoaki. His solo track “Melting Rain” certainly oozes charisma. He delivers a sultry and passionate performance. And it is definitely not what I expected when I first saw he would be releasing a solo track!

“Be Classic” by JO1

I can’t believe it’s been five years since JO1 debuted! And their special album Be Classic commemorates that milestone along with the title track of the same name. Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 is effortlessly blended together with a modern trap sound for a song that is easily attractive and enjoyable to listen to. A great song and performance!
