Recap: Kamen Rider Gavv: The Snacks Gourmet Woo!-mai Wakamen!!

Dressed in costumes, Sachika, Shoma, and Hanto are helping at an event for popular mukbanger Wakamen who takes snacks and turns them gourmet. Sachika got the call three days ago as Wakamen was short on staff. And it just so happened she bought the snack to be featured for this event, ramen snacks.

Shoma feels like an angel eating this delicious ramen in a chip. He pops out a KungFu Ramen Gochizo.

But Hanto had come to them to talk about looking into this Wakamen person as people around him have been disappearing.

Wakamen starts his stream for today with children and their parents participating with following along with the recipes.

Meanwhile, Shoma is intrigued by the cute star-shaped chocolate treat Sachika has and he gives it a try. He loves it so much, but Sachika tells him to stop swiping the food.

Just then, Shoma says he feels something with his butt. Sachika and Hanto are shocked when he says “it’s out”. But it’s not poop. The new ChocoTreasure Gochizo just popped out.

Filming is done for today and Wakamen thanks all the children for coming. But he chooses one little boy for a very special recipe. Hanto sees Ikemen leading the mother and son out the door. He tells Shoma and Sachika it’s go-time, but they are busy with children hanging all over panda Shoma. So Hanto pursues Wakamen by himself.

Hanto is able to find them just as Wakamen is about to Press the mother and son. Shoma arrives as well. Hanto prepares to henshin first, but he actually left his Driver back at the studio.

That means it’s up to Shoma, but his Gavv is underneath his panda costume. Hanto and Sachika struggle to unzip him. The Granute charges toward them and Hanto tries to stop him with his Kill Bill nunchaku and then a mop, but instead gets knocked around to a rooftop.

Sachika finally unzips Shoma and he hurries over. The other Gochizos help bring KungFu Ramen Gochizo over and Shoma henshins.

Shoma and the Granute battle. Shoma’s ramen shield goes soft when the Granute shoots him with water. Sachika comes riding up with the ChocoTreasure Gochizo. And remembering Wakamen’s dessert recipe of dipping ramen in chocolate, Shoma gourmet uphenshins.

The choco-covered shield is much stronger against the Granute’s attacks. The Granute refuses to give up Dark Treats so Shoma prepares to finish him off.

He gets a pair of choco nunchaku (nunchocos?), but doesn’t know what they are. Hanto motions and shows how to use them.

And with it, Shoma finishes the Granute off with a Choco T Finish.

Shoma, Hanto and Sachika head out for a ramen dinner.

Episode Thoughts

Did I not watch the Gotchard TV-kun special? Because I only remember watching the actually fun Geats one and the kind of horrifying Revice one. (You know, the one with the incest? Lol And George being a fudanshi and wanting to see two brothers kissing? lolwut)

Anyway, I guess I have to go look for the Gotchard one. But in the meantime, this Gavv was relatively tame. In fact, it could easily pass as a regular episode, to be honest.

Maybe everything except that poop joke. But even then, it would probably be alright for Sunday morning lol

This is just a TV-kun special, but that choreography with Hanto and the Granute was actually really cool! With the rolling chair and then the folding chair and the broom/mop. It was very fun.

Hanto with the iconic Bruce Lee/Kill Bill jumpsuit was perfect too. It was almost the opposite of what you’d expect from someone wearing that as Hanto just got knocked around again lol

Overall, I think I went into this special expecting something weird and crazy thanks to the TV-kun specials I’ve watched in the past. But it was surprisingly normal lol Still fun of course.
