That’s when Jiip told her about this other world. She is excited to explore this world some more, especially now that she has a doll of her own.

Episode Thoughts

Definitely a mellow episode to kick off this next arc and really second half of the season. Very much an episode to kind of reset everything. And it was good.

For me, the best part was seeing Team Hapipare having fun and enjoying life in the month since the big drama. Lol The basketball game was fun. Rakia enjoying rocks was amusing. And Hanto caring about his boyfriend and wanting to help him potentially find his human family is nice. (And definitely setting up some future plot of course! Lol)

But of course the biggest development this week was the introduction of the Jarudak family.

First off, I didn’t even realize Jiip has been gone since Episode 16. That’s like half of the series so far. Also, has Siita’s actress gotten like a bigger job or something? That’s why she’s been gone this long? Or is it really the way the plot was originally meant to go? Very interesting either way. Though I wouldn’t hate Siita just popping up in the end to turn out to be the Final Boss lol

Also interesting either way. I never thought about the Stomach Sibs’ human forms that much before. They seem to enjoy them? Like, for the workers in human world, they obviously need them. But the Sibs don’t really need the human forms while at home. So I wonder if there’s a plot reason for them to walk around in their skin suits or is it just an excuse so we can have face actors for the antagonists? Either way, it’s cool. lol

But as for the new father and daughter, we’ll see what kind of terror they’ll bring to the proceedings. It’s nice to give the Stomachs a new foe, especially one that makes them kind of smaller than they’ve been so far. So that will be a good dynamic to explore as well.

And I would like to think the Jarudaks are even crazier and more evil than the Stomachs for the Siblings, who have overseen the murders of countless humans over the years with no remorse, to sort of sink into their seats in their presence. Perhaps this is the start of the Stomach Sibs’ road to redemption lol In a “They’re not that bad compared to these wackos!” kind of way. Lol

Overall, a good episode. Definitely setting the stage for this next section of the season and potentially starting to plant seeds for the endgame too.

  1. About the Stomachs, I still see no redemption for them, they have more or less blood on their hands. I think Jiip wants to use Liselle for his own benefits and, worse, eventually give her the human appearance of Shiita, he’s such a siscon.

    1. In my books, every one of the Stomachs is irredeemable except Glotta. She’s too beautiful and lovely for me to hate, even in her full Granute form. Nyelv’s the worst of them in my opinion, leaving his little siblings to die like that. And also him being the main suspect for killing Lakia’s little brother. He got REALLY nervous for the first time when the name was brought up and Lakia’s real motive was revealed. It’d provide an answer of where those Granute Organs used to give Hanto and Suga power were coming from. We also haven’t seen what Nyelv’s personal weapon looks like; maybe a giant scalpel would be fitting?
Though I will “soften” on Nyelv a bit if he brings Suga back in a Granute body with his memories and intelligence intact. I can’t believe I’m actually rooting for Nyelv in that sense. Lol.

      1. See, the problem with Glotta is that she’s the one who cold-heartedly crushed Shoma’s mom Press, she should be the one who must atone for her sins with her life first.

    2. Oh definitely 😂 But maybe they thought they made the Stomachs too irredeemable so they introduce the President and first daughter to make the Stomachs the lesser of two evils lolol

  2. Loved the world building in this episode! The Jarudaks are already interesting characters. I mean, the President’s daughter is clearly just a spoiled brat who’s pampered and protected by her dad. I very much sympathized with Glotta’s desire to knock her teeth out. The REAL power is with the Granute President, who’s already been shown not to be a slouch in a fight by how he slapped around Lango’s Agents like they were nothing.
Since the Stomach Siblings intend to rule Granute World themselves, the President is essentially in their “spot.” So yeah, he’s definitely not their friend, and they’d probably benefit a lot from him and his daughter dying. I’m guessing the President will be the opponent for Shoma’s Final Form.
But anyway, it was entertaining seeing Jeebh get hilarious revenge on his siblings. It was fun seeing the siblings so surprised and unsettled. Lango’s probably thinking: “Did Dad have to put up with situations like this? Maybe I should take an early retirement….” There may be more surprises in store for Lango and Glotta at the very least if Nyelv really DOES have a way to fix his best friend up and put Suga in a different, stronger form. That’d let Shintaro Asanuma do what he does best and continue to voice Suga; he’s a voice actor first and foremost and this was his first live-action role.
Speaking of which, total disrespect move by Lakia taking Suga’s house! lol. I guess Suga really did store Subject K in a different location if Lakia didn’t stumble onto him.

    1. Yes, great to introduce the president and bring us more into the Granute world.
that’s very interesting to learn about Suga’s actor! How fun!

And Rakia definitely does not care about disrespect, especially not to Suga lolol

      1. Yeah, Asanuma voiced Juran in Zenkaiger, so it wouldn’t be the first time he spent a big chunk of a Toku season just voicing a character. Perhaps, through one of Nyelv’s risky experiments, Suga will go the way of Banno from Drive, “transcending” his humanity and permanently taking on a monstrous form that combines his genius mind with the natural strength of a Granute. Banno mostly existed as a “voice” in Drive, with his human form only really being seen once in a series of flashbacks, so it is a possibility something similar could be done with Suga.
Plus, I just find the prospect of having three possible Big Bads with different motives enticing: the Stomach Siblings wanting to take over Granute World, the President likely wanting to conquer Human World simply because his spoiled daughter likes it, and a monstrous-on-the-outside-now Suga resuming his work on creating the strongest life form (and possibly wanting to save his infant son’s life).
