It’s a Filipino Monday with new music from VXON, G22, BGYO
“Tabi Tabi” by VXON
I wasn’t much of a fun of VXON’s last release “Agila”. But “Tabi Tabi” is definitely more my speed. The rock-infused pop dance track has a catchy and playful chorus to go along with the confident and assertive lyrics. It does feel like a refreshing change of pace for VXON. But it’s a good one and the guys of course deliver a great performance.
“Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” by G22
VXON’s Cornerstone siblings G22 finally release some fresh music as well. “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” is a powerful and charismatic performance with a song that has an empowering message! Which is very much what G22 has delivered with every one of their releases so far!
“Andito Lang” by BGYO
BGYO just released a self-titled EP which includes four new tracks in addition to the solid “Trash” which was released last year. One of the new tracks with a music video is “Andito Lang” and it might just be my favorite BGYO track since “PNGNP”. The pop-rock track is a great, feel-good song with just the right amount of nostalgic vibes. And it’s definitely got the potential to get on my repeat playlist this year.
“Divine” by BGYO
It’s technically summer in the Philippines right now. So “Divine” will definitely fit anyone’s playlist for the season. It’s a solid dance track with a groovy melody.
Now of the other two new tracks, “Heartstrings” is pretty good as well. But I really really like “Light My Fire”. The dreamy track is a perfect #NightDrivePlaylist candidate. And after a few more listens, it might actually become my favorite even over “Andito Lang”.
