Recap: The Traitors US 3, Episode 10 – “The Power of the Seer”

Just a reminder that the italics are my thoughts as I watch the episode hehe

Britney laughs when Danielle removes her hood. Danielle gives the Ultimatum and says because of their history, Danielle wants to finish this journey with her. Of course Britney accepts and they hug to make it official.

They make it to the Turret and Danielle tells her how frustrated Carolyn has made her this whole time. They move on to business and agree Dylan and Dolores are the ones who they must protect. Britney says Tom and Gabby are on to Danielle so it’s probably between them.

Next morning, Dylan and Danielle are first to the breakfast table. They hug and agree that they are each other’s person. Dylan wants to believe Danielle is a Faithful. The other people come in and it is Tom who is murdered.

Last night, Danielle and Britney agree to murder Tom and then work to banish Gabby. Even though they said earlier that it would be easier to rally people to banish Tom.

Tom laughs that he was really good at this game and that is very cool. lol

Alan comes in to say this is the Penultimate breakfast and tonight will be the last Round Table where a player’s identity will be revealed.

They scatter after breakfast. Danielle first works to ease Gabby’s mind then talks to Dolores to plant the seeds against Gabby. Dolores says she’d consider it.

Ivar and Dylan talk and they agree that they are the last true Faithfuls. Ivar relays his suspicions of Danielle, but Dylan throws out Gabby’s name. Ivar is almost immediately set on voting for her then. But Dylan says they’ll have to wait and see.

Gabby tells Britney that she believes Danielle for sure is a Traitor, but also Dolores. Britney goes to Dylan to say Gabby is suspicious for having never talked to her and just sticking to her Bambis. Dylan says he needs no convincing about Gabby since he’s pegged her this entire time.

Before commercial, Danielle joins Gabby in the library to try and intimidate her. But Gabby is not succumbing to the awkward silence. Danielle vows to annihilate her.

For today’s three-part challenge, not only will they get a chance to bank $30,000, the player who banks the most money across the three challenges will become The Seer. That person will be able to learn one player’s true identity during a private face-to-face meeting tonight.

For the first challenge, the players must pop the balloons of clowns who have money and not the ones with five skulls. Dylan and Gabby bank $0, Ivar and Danielle bank $500 and Dolores and Britney bank $1000.

For the second challenge, the players have to pull the cords of dolls to reveal how much money they will get. This is sketchy lol The show could just do whatever they want with the dolls and their money values.

Gabby, Ivar and Dylan bank $0 on this challenge. Danielle ends up banking the most, $2000 here.

By the last challenge, Dolores, Britney and Danielle have banked the most money. But Alan says anyone still has the chance to win. The players must retrieve as many $100 gold coins from sacks scattered around the woods as they can within five minutes. They must load them into a cage and hoist them up to count.

After the challenge, Alan says one person has secured the power of the Seer and he will deal with it after the Round Table.

During dinner, Gabby gives Dylan all the evidence she has on Danielle and Dylan admits that it is convincing. After Gabby leaves, Danielle walks in and Dylan immediately tells her that it’s between Danielle and Gabby tonight.

Danielle is about to start crying again and Dylan says he doesn’t want to believe it. “I’m just so hurt,” Danielle says.

Best Actress she is not! lol

Danielle summons Britney to tell her about Dylan being open to voting for her tonight. Britney does her best lapdog impression goes to Dolores to will her into voting for Gabby, but Dolores wants to hear Gabby’s case first. Britney thinks she’s an idiot for not just voting with the house… errr, castle.

Britney runs all over the castle looking for Ivar. He tells her that he is sure about voting for Danielle. Britney starts to get emotional and says she cannot vote for her friend Britney. Ivar reminds her that this is “a game, sweetheart.” Britney covers her eyes as if she’s crying and says “I don’t know.”

Why is the show making it seem like Britney’s considering voting for Danielle? lol She should just let them vote for Danielle then she’s safe.

It’s time for the Round Table. Alan reminds them all that this is the final time someone will reveal their identity to everyone.

Britney takes a breath first and addresses Gabby. She asks why Gabby kept to her group at the start of the game instead of getting to know everyone. Danielle says perhaps it was because she had the numbers. Gabby says Danielle has the numbers too, pointing at Dolores and Dylan.

Gabby starts by explaining how Carolyn had points last night against her. And perhaps Danielle had a great case because she was privy to all the traitorous information first hand. Gabby brings up how it seemed like a repeat of the Bob and Rob Traitor-on-Traitor violence.

Danielle says she was quiet until Carolyn attacked her. Dylan says she did destroy Carolyn last night, but he can also see how it is possible that they were both telling the truth.

Ivar agrees it was Traitor-on-Traitor. She repeats that she is a Faithful and cannot possibly be a Traitor. What a wonderful argument there! Lol Danielle says the Traitor must be a girl next door.

Gabby says thinking that got them in trouble before. Danielle wants Gabby to basically shut up and let her finish. Danielle’s condescension is so cringe here. WTF.

Danielle says the murders don’t make sense to her and that she voted for Rob twice. Gabby says she did too and that she is an easy target for the Traitors to frame since she just takes everything on the chin.

Danielle says she thinks Gabby is quite smart. Gabby says she’s not saying she is dumb.

WTF is this patronizing face from Danielle?

Gabby thinks she could’ve been kept this long just for this particular moment. Danielle tries to butt in and Gabby wants her opportunity to speak now. Gabby says if she ends up standing on the Circle, it’ll just be another strong woman with a personality being falsely accused. Danielle says she can’t believe this is happening because “I’m a faithful”. Gabby says “Same.”

lol I do enjoy Gabby’s unbothered nonchalance here. I hope she’s doing it to try and get under Danielle’s skin lol

Dolores speaks up and says she never saw “traitor” in Danielle. She suggests that Ivar is a Traitor because she trusts Danielle more than him and Bob Queen had thrown his name out there.

WTF?!

Ivar says that would be a completely pointless move and that everyone else probably realizes that.

Alan stops the discussion and they vote.

Ivar votes for Danielle. Dolores votes for Ivar. Danielle votes for Ivar. Gabby votes for Danielle. Britney votes Ivar.

This is all scripted, isn’t it? lol But I see why Danielle and Britney voted for Ivar after Dolores announced her vote. Lol That should be a huge red flag.

Dylan votes for Danielle. “This is unbelievable,” Danielle says. He says that evidence is hard to come by in this game. And he can’t ignore the evidence this time.

Danielle says she adores Dylan so it’s fine. Britney is about to bawl.

Alan explains that with the draw, Danielle and Ivar can make one final plea before another vote. From which, both will be excluded. If they are still deadlocked, their fates will be decided by chance.

Ivar goes first and says his character is to be relaxed. He can’t do drama. He cannot lie. And if they banish him tonight, they will be going into the final tomorrow with still two Traitors. And it would make it more difficult for the Faithful to win the game. That’s all he can say.

Danielle says she made commitments to people in this game and appeals to Dylan to believe her. She begs him not make a decision he regrets like how Britney did to her before on the Christmas special lolol.

Britney tells us this situation is fucked. She is sick to her stomach. She looks at Dolores and she looks over at Danielle and nods. Britney says she can’t do it to Danielle as it would emotionally destroy her.

Dylan wonders if he is willing to ruin his chance to win just for his relationship with Danielle. He says a wrong decision will haunt him forever.

Dylan looks like he wrote two “L”s while Dolores looks like she wrote a capital “I”. So they probably did not change.

Britney and Danielle look at each other. Britney looks distressed. Danielle looks at her and smiles.

Alan starts the vote reveal with Dylan. He still votes for Danielle and says knowing that there are people at this table who will never write down her name, if she is safe tonight, then she’s winning this game.

Dolores also kept her vote for Ivar because her mind has not changed. Britney’s jaw literally drops.

Gabby stays with Danielle also.

It comes down to Britney. And she….

Episode Thoughts

The cliffhangers on this season are absurd. Lol So it’s either one of two things. Britney actually flipped. Which would be amazing television. Or she didn’t and they pull straws or whatever.

If they ended up tied again, then wouldn’t the better cliffhanger be the result of the game of chance? So, as someone hoping for Danielle to get banished, I’m rooting for Britney actually turning on Danielle lol

But knowing The Traitors does not really do cliffhangers very well and usually the result is the obvious one no matter how they try to throw in potential flips and red herrings, I wouldn’t be surprised if Britney still voted for Ivar as well.

Lol at Dolores though. How horrible has she been at the Round Tables? I take back saying I wanted her and Tom to win in the end lol

Also, if there were still undecideds, the fact that Danielle and Britney went from targeting Gabby to suddenly voting for Ivar should be a huge red flag. We’ll see if Dylan and Gabby put two and two together if Danielle is banished. Britney should be on their radar in the end.

If Danielle survives, then the Traitors will win. They will have the numbers 3 to 2. So she and Britney will be safe. But if Danielle is banished, Britney has a chance to win all on her own. And that would be incredible if she gets to the end by turning on Danielle.

I was laughing at how the show seemed to keep portraying Britney as wavering the entire evening. And I thought it was just another one of the show’s misleading faux drama, pulling the rug right out from under us moments.

But by the end, it gave me hope that she somehow ends up actually deciding Danielle’s banishment. Again, that would be amazing. And even more hilarious considering a major plot point of this season has been Britney and Danielle’s drama from a Big Brother Christmas special. Lol

Was very happy Dylan was actually playing smart and not letting his feelings get in the way of giving himself the best chance at winning.

But Gabby was really amazing at the Round Table. I would’ve liked her to lay out all the evidence like she did to Dylan. And she probably did, but they edited it out.

Still, the show instead focused on her amazing nonchalance in her exchanges with Danielle. Danielle being so insufferable in the way she spoke this Round Table made it even better since Gabby had a retort for everything Danielle was saying and doing that not of it worked.

I was a bit annoyed that the Seer power would not be done before the Round Table. But at this point, it doesn’t seem like it will be a game changer. That challenge was nonsense since they easily could have manipulated the second challenge’s outcome. And even the last one too.

So the best case scenario is Dylan somehow wins and confirms Gabby is a Faithful and they ride or die it to the end. Worst case scenario is Danielle, Britney or Dolores winning it of course. Though perhaps that’s why they did not include it in this episode?

Overall, this was actually a fun episode. Mostly because it didn’t seem like Danielle was going to skate through. So it gave me hope for a good result. Lol

We’ll see what happens in the finale! I’m hoping the Faithful win. So long as it doesn’t include Dolores. Lol She doesn’t deserve the money after her crazy votes. lol
