My Top 20 Favorite OSTs of 2024

The best soundtracks include songs that perfectly capture the series or film they are meant to support and enhance. These 20 tracks are the ones that left the biggest impact on my television viewing in 2024!

And to note, a couple of these tracks are from series that originally aired in a previous year. But are new to me who just watched them this year. Hehe.

20. “Rainbow” by Coldin from Love Tractor

Love Tractor has become one of my favorite BL series. “Rainbow” by Coldin is one of those songs, perfectly capturing the warm, feel-good vibes.

19. “I’ll Be There” by Johnny/NewKidd from To My Star 1

Both versions of “I’ll Be There” by Johnny and NewKidd are so good at evoking the sometimes bittersweet, but ultimately loving relationship out our couple in To My Star, one of my favorite BL dramas I watched this year!

18. “Reaching For You” by ZEROBASEONE from Love Next Door

The feels when this song starts playing during the credits of an episode of Love Next Door!

17. “Hanggang Sa Dulo” by Yanco from Padyak Princess

This gem encapsulates the hopeful and fighting spirit of the title character of this TV5 series starring Miles Ocampo! Definitely goes a long way in elevating the solid series.

16. “Leave It All Behind” by Wonstein from Love Next Door

You can also expect a great performance from Wonstein. Especially with an OST and a song as great as “Leave It All Behind,” another song that wraps up all the emotions during an episode of Love Next Door.

15. “Unfinished Story” by Ko Youngbae from Like Flowers in Sand

This hopeful track captures those same feelings of Like Flowers in Sand, another wonderfully relatable and warm series.

14. “Say It Back” by Dabit from His Man 3

Some fans may whine about this season of His Man, but I quite enjoyed it. And one of the things that made it even more enjoyable was hearing season 2 alum Dabit (an artist I’ve followed since his debut) performing the theme song! A cheeky and fun track that served as the perfect theme for this engaging season.

13. “Please Don’t Leave Anywhere” by Doko from Lovely Runner

The first of several tracks from my favorite series of 2024, Lovely Runner. Who can forget your eyes watering as “Please Don’t Leave Anywhere” starts playing during an episode?

12. “No Fate” by Eclipse from Lovely Runner

For a happier track, “No Fate” by the fictional boy group of the series is the one for you.

11. “You & I” by Eclipse from Lovely Runner

And if it’s romance you want, “You & I” is the pick.

10. “What Are We” by Ha Sung Woon from Love Next Door

For our two OTPs in Love Next Door, Ha Sung Woon’s “What Are We” was the perfect soundtrack as they figured out their feelings. We of course knew the two couples were destined for each other. But the journey there was made even more captivating with this great track.

9. “Shadows in the Night” by Hersh from Flex X Cop

This smooth, cool track from Hersh definitely captures the smooth, cool vibes of the series Flex X Cop. Imagine hearing this energetic track as Ahn Bo Hyun and Park Ji Hyun kick some ass in this great series.

8. “Lucky Strike” by Hyun Seong from Love Tractor

Love Tractor is one of the most feel-good series you’ll ever watch. And “Lucky Strike” will be one of the most feel-good OSTs you’ll ever enjoy! You can’t help but smile as the track plays and our main couple experiences all the clumsy fun of falling in love for the first time.

7. “You N Me Us” by Wetter from The Eighth Sense

This striking track from Wetter opened every episode of the excellent The Eighth Sense. And what better song to capture the series’ atmospheric and pensive mood than this one.

6. “Spring Snow” by 10cm from Lovely Runner

Perhaps the most recognizable OST from this great series, “Spring Snow” brings all the romantic feels for our star-crossed lovers.

5. “My Fault” by Bain from Sing My Crush

JUST B’s Bain offers up this wonderfully emotional pop-rock ballad for Sing My Crush, another series I enjoyed this year.

4. “Second Wind” by Ants from Sing My Crush

And another track from that series is “Second Wind”. I’ve had this song on repeat all year since first watching the series. And with a tiny spoiler warning, this song will help support one of the very best scenes you’ll ever see on a Korean BL drama. So perfectly executed and enhanced in part by this great song.

3. “Improvisation” by Jaehan from Jazz For Two

When I started the series Jazz For Two, I was absolutely stunned as soon as the theme song played. “What a great song this is,” I thought to myself. And it definitely instilled a positive feeling going into the series that carried through to the end. “Improvisation” is just a great pop track. A combination of nostalgic, innocence, youth, romance; it’s got it all. And OMEGA X’s Jaehan does so well with bringing the song to life. So good!

2. “Butterfly” by Sandeul from Wedding Impossible

Sandeul delivered this amazing track for the OST of romcom Wedding Impossible. The refreshing pop-rock-R&B track is so good that it really even transcends the drama itself. Sandeul’s performance enhances the song’s fresh feelings of love that suit the drama as well being a strong and easily appealing track on its own too.

1. “Other Side” by Runy from Once Again

Absolutely one of the very best OSTs I’ve ever enjoyed from a series or movie. Runy, no stranger to delivering excellent songs to a soundtrack, does the same here with “Other Side”. A beautifully emotional and haunting ballad that goes a long way to elevate what is already a strong series in Once Again. Just excellent.
