Taiya and Shashiro have taken a job as bodyguards for the princess of a foreign kingdom while she secretly experiences her peoples’ daily lives. They will accompany her for the day and then deliver her back to her parents, safe and sound.
To prepare for the trip, Genba procured some proper attire for them.
Shashiro is a bit annoyed by the bratty, stubborn princess. The princess ends up taking part in a public performance, now in full sight of everyone. Shashiro quickly grabs her and says he should’ve been holding her hand the entire time. She should think about how worried her parents would have been in letting her go out on her own.
The princess tells him not to treat her like a kid and begs Taiya to get Shashiro to stop nagging.
Taiya tells Shashiro that it’s important to give positive reinforcements sometimes. Shashiro says he will end up spoiling her.
Just then, the princess disappears. She has managed to slip away. But she ends up running into bad guys who had been following them all day in the hopes of kidnapping her for ransom.
Taiya and Shashiro quickly find them. Shashiro demands they let go of the princess. But the main goon warns them to stay back or she will get hurt. Shashiro knows their aim is ransom, so they won’t kill her. But they would definitely hurt her.
The goons surround them, but Genba arrives just in time. He uses his Bureki powers to save the princess. And that allows Shashiro to jump in and quickly knock out the head goon.
Genba tells Taiya that he’ll be adding this to his invoice. Taiya takes the opportunity to also let loose on the goons.
Shashiro takes the princess in his arms and is able to safely protect her while knocking out the biggest goon of the group.
Now safe, the princess is emotional as she is sorry for causing all this trouble. She asks why Taiya is the one apologizing to her when it was her fault. Taiya says he just hates to hear anyone scream.
The crying princess apologizes to them.
Taiya, Shashiro and Genba safely deliver the princess back to the palace and her parents for another mission accomplished.
Back home, Shashiro opens a letter from the princess. She says she has been studying very hard to become the best princess and again apologizes for causing trouble. But she also thanks them for the precious memory of their day together. She invites them to visit anytime. And also adds a P.S. telling Shashiro not to treat her like a kid next time.
Doing deliveries isn’t so bad, huh? Taiya asks. Shashiro says it’s too much of a hassle. But BunBun notices Shashiro is smiling and happy. Shashiro denies that and says it’s just for a job well done. BunBun thinks he’s a bad liar.
Chapter Thoughts
What a nice adventure! I certainly would love to see more of Taiya and Shashiro’s globetrotting adventures and missions. So I’m very sad there’s only one more chapter left. Huhuhu
The main takeaways for this chapter. First with Shashiro, we see him warming up more and more to this delivery business. And of course to Taiya as well.
It was great to see how Taiya, Shashiro and Genba worked together on these delivery jobs pre-Boonboomger too.
And for Taiya, we get a bit of insight for his character. We of course don’t know the whole story of his childhood. But from what we know so far, we understood where he was coming from when he told the princess that he hates hearing someone scream. Definitely very sad when we think about his childhood. But this was an example of how he wants to be there for someone else who might need someone. Unlike him who maybe had no one.
So a great chapter. But only one left? NoooooOOOOOO!!
