“LaSalle Ave” by Jay Chang

I have followed Jay Chang for a while, especially after learning of his Filipino roots. Filipino roots which are definitely evident in his excellent vocals! I listened to his official solo debut last year (which was definitely a long time coming) and remember liking it. But he is back with his follow-up solo release Neighborhood and the title track “LaSalle Ave”. Perfectly evoking the album’s title, the track and the other three tracks on the album feature a wonderfully nostalgic and warm vibe. A really engaging showcase for his powerful vocals which can be silky smooth or strong and soaring with ease. Really a great release. And it’s awesome to see him sharing his talents as a solo artist and as a member of ONE PACT.

“What Would You Do” by Wonho

It is awesome to welcome Wonho back after completing his military service. And he makes an excellent statement with his first release since discharge in “What Would You Do”. The mid-tempo pop R&B ballad is perfect for Wonho’s warm vocals, yet still features a mix of bittersweet angst and soaring, dreamy grandeur. It’s a very appealing mix. And it’s also a wonderful showcase for Wonho’s versatility. Especially as he reintroduces himself to audiences around the world. Excited to see and hear what’s ahead for Wonho!

“Pinata” by A.C.E.

A.C.E. is back with another great single in “Pinata”. The dance track is a dynamic and charismatic performance. The group’s energetic vocals and colorful harmonies match the song’s emotional and passionate message. All while wrapped up in the catchy hip-hop-powered beats.

“Nallina” by NEXZ

NEXZ had a great debut back in May. And their latest album, Nallina gives the rookie group another opportunity to showcase their talents. And this time with a more powerful and dynamic style. The title track of the same name evokes that charismatic confidence in a unique sound. The other four tracks on the album follow suit. I think my favorite track is “Eye to Eye”. A strong follow-up for the group!

“Let’s Get It” by NOWADAYS

Rookie group NOWADAYS are back with a new single “Let’s Get It”. They have had solid debut year. And “Let’s Get It” continues that with this addictive hip-hop dance track. The group offers up a dynamic performance that fits with the positive, youthful message of the song!
