Tensions (and the waters!) are high as teams hold on while Racing on this home country Leg! Challenging tasks fuel the frustration and worry as a high speed Race through the Hundred Islands and a final puzzle determine who’s going home this week!

The 9th Leg begins bright and early at 5am as teams hop into brand-new Kia Seltoses to drive more than 2-hours to this salt farm in Dasol. Inigo & Sebastian maintain their lead while Olivia & Chandler lose some time having trouble navigating the Pangasinan countryside.

The teams arrive within 30 minutes of each other. Inigo & Sebastian and Shamcey & Lloyd are first to choose the Rake Detour. Klea & Katrice, arriving 3rd, decide to try their luck at the Take Detour, as do Betong & Maey. Olivia & Chandler choose Rake while Nina & Calvin do Take. Paolo & Bubbles initially choose Take, but decide to switch to Rake instead. Valeen & Chariz, in last, choose Take.

Luck is on Betong & Maey’s side as they find the Detour pieces first with Nina & Calvin close behind. Inigo & Sebastian and Olivia & Chandler power through the salt harvesting next. While Valeen & Chariz make up a lot of time with their own luck as well. Shamcey & Lloyd and Klea & Katrice leave the Detour next with Paolo & Bubbles now in last place after their switch.

Olivia & Chandler again have navigation troubles on the way to the watermelon farm, allowing Betong & Maey, Nina & Calvin and Inigo & Sebastian to arrive before them. Valeen & Chariz also arrive just before the sisters, but decide this will be the spot to apply their Self Yield Non-Elimination Penalty at.

Betong & Maey, Nina & Calvin, Olivia & Chandler and Paolo & Bubbles choose to do the stacking first while Inigo & Sebastian, Shamcey & Lloyd, Klea & Katrice and Valeen & Chariz choose the Double Road Block first.

Some teams struggle with the watermelon stacking while Nina & Calvin decide to use one of their Interchanges to quickly get through the Double Road Block. Olivia & Chandler move into first place leaving the Roundabout while Valeen & Chariz continue to trail in last.

Entering Hundred Islands National Park, all teams end up having navigational and maneuvering struggles on the water and across the islands. Inigo & Sebastian move into first place through the cliff jumping and at the first island. Nina & Calvin leave This Island first while the other teams are very close behind.

Shamcey & Lloyd and Paolo & Bubbles make up a lot of time on the jetskis, moving to the front of the pack. Previously leading Nina & Calvin and Inigo & Sebastian get lost on one of the islands while searching for the pouches. Meanwhile, Klea & Katrice and Valeen & Chariz are falling far behind. Both teams are aware of their position and decide it’s time to put the Kapuso alliance to rest.

At the Road Block, Shamcey & Lloyd maintain their lead on the way to the Pit Stop where they claim their first Leg win of the Race!

Paolo & Bubbles and Betong & Maey depart the Road Block next just as Valeen & Chariz arrive in last. Seeing teams having trouble with the task, they decide to use their Express Pass. Olivia & Chandler and Nina & Calvin get their puzzles solved just as they leave. Inigo & Sebastian, meanwhile, struggle with the puzzle while Klea & Katrice begin to grow frustrated and defeated.

On the way to the Pit Stop, Paolo & Bubbles and Betong & Maey are unable to follow the map to the island. That allows Olivia & Chandler to move ahead of them on the water with the other teams following them to the Pit Stop.

Olivia & Chandler step on the Mat as Team #2 with Paolo & Bubbles, Betong & Maey and Valeen & Chariz right behind them as Teams 3 through 5, respectively.

As Nina & Calvin also have trouble finding the correct island, Inigo & Sebastian leave the Road Block next and are able to catch up. The two teams arrive within a minute of each other, claiming 6th and 7th place, respectively.

That means Klea & Katrice, who had used the Fast Forward Flip last Leg to survive, have officially been eliminated from the Race.
